Abu Nawas and the King Aaron

The king wanted to test Abu Nawas’ smartness. So he invited Abu Nawas to the palace. “You want me, your Majesty?” greeted Abu Nawas. “Yes, you have fooled me three times and that’s too much. I want you to leave the country. Otherwise you will have to go to jail” said the king. “If that is what you want, I will do what you said” said Abu Nawas sadly. Then “Remember, from tomorrow you may not step on the ground of this country anymore” the king said seriously. Then Abu nawas left the king palace sadly.

The following morning the king ordered his two guards to go to Abu Nawas’ house. The guards were very surprised found Abu Nawas still in his house. He had not left the country yet. Instead leaving the country, Abu Nawas was swimming in small pool in front of his house. “Hey Abu Nawas, why haven’t you left this country yet? The king ordered you not to step on the ground of this country anymore, didn’t he?” said the guards. “Sure he did” answered Abu Nawas calmly. “But look at me! Do I step on the ground of this country? No, I do not step on the ground. I am swimming on the water” continued Abu Nawas.
The guards were not able to argue with Abu Nawas so they left Abu Nawas’ house and went back to the palace. The guards reported what they had seen to the king. The king was curious on Abu Nawas’ excuse not to leave the country. Therefore the king ordered his guard to call Abu Nawas to come to the palace.
Abu Nawas came to the palace on stilts. The king wondered and said “Abu, I will surely punish you because you haven’t done what I have said. You have not left this country”. The King continued “And now, look at you. You walk on stilts like a child. Are you crazy? The king pretended to be furious.

“I remember exactly what you said, Your Majesty” Abu Nawas answered calmly. “This morning I took a bath in the small pool in my house so that I had not to step on the ground. And since yesterday, I have been walking on this stilts. So you see, Your Majesty, I do not step on the ground of this country”. The king was not able to say anything.

    LOVING MONEY TOO MUCH
There was a man who liked money very much. He worked all of his life and wanted to save all of his money for his own future. He was a real miser when it came to his money. He loved money more than just about anything.
Even, just before he died, he said to his wife; “Now listen, when I die, I want you to take all my money and place it in the casket with me. I wanna take my money to the afterlife.” So he asked his wife to promise him with all her heart that when he died, she would put all the money in the casket with him.
Well, one day, he really died. Then he was stretched out in the casket. The wife was sitting there in black clothes next to her closest friend. When they finished the ceremony, just before the undertakers got ready to close the casket, the wife said “Wait just a minute!”
She had a box in her hands. She came over with the box and placed it in the casket. After that the undertakers locked the casket down and rolled it away. Not long after that, her friend said, “I hope you were not crazy enough to put all that money in the casket.”
The wife turned to her friend and replied; “Yes, because I have promised.” Then she continued; “I can’t lie. I promised him that I was going to put that money in that casket with him.” Feeling shocked, her friend said; “You mean that you have put every cent of his money in the casket with him?” Then the wife answered; “Surely I did. I got it all together, put all the money into my account and I just wrote him a check.”

    Nasrudin Gets a Cow

One day, Nasrudin’s wife told him, “Let’s buy a cow so that we can have milk every day.
Nasrudin replied, “We don’t have enough space in our yard for my donkey and a new cow.”

But despite Nasrudin’s objection, his wife persisted until he finally gave in.
So he bought the cow and just he predicted, it crowded his beloved donkey in the barn. To end this problem, Nasrudin started to pray one night, saying, “Dear God, please kill the cow, so my wife can’t bother me about it anymore, and so my donkey can live in peace.”

The next day, Nasrudin went into the barn and was dismayed to discover that his donkey was dead! He looked up and said, “God, I don’t mean to offend you or anything, but let me ask you this after all these years, do you mean to tell me that you still can’t tell the difference between a cow and a donkey?”

    Train Ticket
Nasrudin was about to board a train, and the conductor asked him for his ticket. Nasrudin began looking through his pants pockets, but he couldn’t find it.
“One moment,” he said. “I know I brought it.”
He searched his bag, and still couldn’t find it. He then searched the floor around him, and the missing ticket still eluded him. He even began looking in his socks, but alas, the money was not found.
As the conductor watched this, he asked, “Why don’t you check that pocket on your shirt? That’s usually where most people put their ticket.”
“Oh, I can’t look there,” Nasrudin replied.
    “Why not?” the conductor asked.
Nasrudin explained, “Because if I do and I find out it is not there, then I would have no hope at all of finding it!“

    Friendship is just a word
But it has a deep meaning
We’ll feel it when actually find
A continued friend in a life

Friendship has always been an oasis when we experience sadness
Friendship is always a joy to be complementary
A day without friends is very strange
Months without friends are very painful

True friends will always be missed
Talks will continue to be memorable
Easy to get a rich friend
But hard getting a forever friend
Because a true friend is not for a reason
    (Terjemahan)

    Tetapi memiliki makna yang dalam
Kita akan merasakannya saat benar-benar menemukan
Seorang sahabat yang terus ada dalam kehidupan

    A naughty schoolboy
Everyone agreed that John Tsui was a naughty boy. He had a bad temper and did not study hard at school. His father paid for a private teacher to teach him at home. But john was rude to his teacher. His teacher said he did not want to teach him anymore. John’s father tried to find another teacher, but it was not easy to do so.
At last, a teacher who had just come from Singapore agreed to teach him. John’s father was very pleased. He sent for John to come and meet his new teacher. John was very rude. He took no notice of his new teacher and left the room without saying a word. The next day, john arrived late for his first lesson. He hoped this would make his teacher angry. But his teacher did not seem to mind. The next day, he was again late. This time, his teacher was playing the piano.
“can you teach me to play the piano?” he asked his teacher.
“Yes, if you really want to learn,” his teacher replied.
After that, his teacher gave him piano lesson twice a week. John was really very clever and he did not need much teaching.
In a short while, he could play quite well.
“Can you teach me anything else?” he asked his teacher.
“I don’t know what you would like to learn,” his teacher said. “Perhaps you can teach me something?”
“I only know how to box,” John replied. “If you want to learn, I can teach you.”
John asked his teacher to stand up. As soon as he did so, he tried to hit his fist. But his teacher was too quick for him. He caught hold of his arm and held it tight. John could not move. He had to ask his teacher to forgive him. He promised that he would study harder in future.
“If you want to study harder,” his teacher said, “It is not enough to learn from one man. You must learn from many men.”
“How can I do that?” John asked.
His teacher pointed to the books in front of him. “You must study hard and read as many books as you can. Each book contains knowledge. If you do that, you will soon be able to learn many new things for yourself.
John studied hard after that. When he grew up, he became a very famous man.

Begitu deru.

Lalu menangis, tercurah dalam rinai, menjadi lagu pemandu kisah negeri penanggung bala dan senandung tentang sebenar isi dada para ketua dan saudagar yg dulu berumah di hutan.

    A LETTER TO A FRIEND
    By Mych Ryan

It’s always hurt to see you cry
To see tears falling like rain from the sky
And there’s no answer for why
I never question myself, I never try

It’s always hurt to know there’s nothing I can do
And fact that I don’t even know what to do
It’s so sad but so true
    Feels like the color blue

Someday we’ll see we were wrong
And then we realize the day has done
Time won’t turn back, it’s no use to regret
It’s not easy to say good bye, but someway we have to try

    Sometimes it’s hurt to remember
About the days we had together
And a piece of heart inside me
Carved with your smile, you can see…

It was the day when I used to care
    Think about you, anytime, anywhere
The day when I used to drive you home
When the night was so cold and you were alone

That’s just history, saved properly in my memory
Now we are so far and so different, and yet so silent….
No voices when you say, just few words on my display
    That’s OK. Thanks anyway….

PS. I’m sad about the problem you had
    But don’t worry my friend,
I’ll be the man when you look behind

    A LETTER TO A FRIEND
    By Mych Ryan

It’s always hurt to see you cry
To see tears falling like rain from the sky
And there’s no answer for why
I never question myself, I never try

It’s always hurt to know there’s nothing I can do
And fact that I don’t even know what to do
It’s so sad but so true
    Feels like the color blue

Someday we’ll see we were wrong
And then we realize the day has done
Time won’t turn back, it’s no use to regret
It’s not easy to say good bye, but someway we have to try

    Sometimes it’s hurt to remember
About the days we had together
And a piece of heart inside me
Carved with your smile, you can see…

It was the day when I used to care
    Think about you, anytime, anywhere
The day when I used to drive you home
When the night was so cold and you were alone

That’s just history, saved properly in my memory
Now we are so far and so different, and yet so silent….
No voices when you say, just few words on my display
    That’s OK. Thanks anyway….

PS. I’m sad about the problem you had
    But don’t worry my friend,
I’ll be the man when you look behind
THE LAST DATE WITH THE MOON
    By Mych Ryan

Here I am, standing in the brink of the day
Staring at the sun that has gone away
And a smile upon your face,
Make me never wanna leave this place

There you are, hardly I can see cause you just so far
I see your eyes blinking, are you a star?
But I remember you said you’re a moon
So I should have seen you soon

    And here we are now,
    You come to me somehow
You are getting closer and closer,
But why I feel like a stranger?

    I remember,
It’s been 365 nights since the last goodbye
It’s too long for me, that’s the reason why

Now please come down, get lower
I’m on the top of the tower and can’t go higher
I have something to say to you
I need to tell you, that… I wanna stop loving you

    THE MOON HAS FALLEN
    By Mych Ryan

Nothing to say, the rain drifted my words away
No place to stay, the love was taken away
The moon has fallen, the heart has broken
I’m here, fighting against my own demon

The fight of good and bad,
    Happy and sad
    Love and hate,
    But I think it’s too late….

    Looks like the demons win,
They’re laughing loud on my sins

    Now I’m waiting for forgiveness
    From you, not from others
Thousands rivers won’t be enough to wash me
From my sins, and from all the demons in me

    By Jayafran

    Dear God,
I am sorry not to take the path You made
My forgiveness to obey the spoke You whisper
My apologized to ignore Your prohibition
I am sorry to travel alone without Your guide

    Dear God,
Maybe I am to proud to myself
My confidence to choose all my path alone
This greed that wanting more than I need
    The selfish arrogant ungraceful man

Now I am lost in the middle of nowhere
Stand between the dark cold scary valley
This darkness makes me loose my sight
The fog does not allowed me to see the light

    Dear God,
Slowly my conscious turn to madness
This eyes getting blurry and shaded
The sound of nature fading away I can not hear

    Dear God,
    I know I just a sinner
Disgrace my self with all my sins
    Throw away your blessing grace
Now I just turn into something I am not

    Dear God,
    Please take my soul away
    To take Your undying conviction
I do not deserve to live this life no more

  37. Three Birds On a Tree Branch

During a math lesson, a teacher taught her students to count. “There are 3 birds which are perched on a tree branch. Then a hunter comes. He takes and aims his gun to one of the bird. The hunter shots one bird and hit it. So how many birds which are left on the tree? “The teacher asked to the student.

All of the students were silent. They were busy counting the remaining birds. However, there was a student named Andi looked calm. The teacher was confused with what he had done. Then she asked him, “Andi, answer my question!” He confidently replied, “There are three birds and then one of them being shot. So the bird which is left on a tree branch is nothing”

The teacher was surprised to hear his answer. The teacher then asked again, “Andy, try to answer my question seriously. How many birds are left?” “There’s nothing left mom!” said him. She was increasingly annoyed even she told Andy to use his hands as a tool to count. “Point out your three fingers, then removes one of them” the teacher explained. “There is no birds left mom!” he didn’t change his answer.

The teacher gave up and asked, “Tell us, why you said no birds left?” “When the hunter shot one of them, two other birds was flying away because they heard gunfire. So there is nothing left mom! “Andy explained. Hearing the answer, the teacher was silent while his entire friend laughed out loud.

  38. THESIS : A lot of people, especially young people, go through the day without having breakfast. Many people believe that it is not necessary, or they say that they don’t have time for that,  and  begin  their  day  with  no  meal. I  believe  that  everyone  should  eat  breakfast before going to their activities. The purpose of this paper is to show the importance of breakfast, especially for students.

ARGUMENT 1 :The first reason why you should eat breakfast before going to school is for your health. When you skip breakfast and go to school, you are looking for a disease because it’s not healthy to have  an empty stomach all day  long.  It’s very important to have a meal and not let your stomach work empty. All you are going to get is gastritis and a lot of problems with your health if you don’t eat breakfast.

ARGUMENT 2 :Another reason for eating breakfast is because you need food for to do well in your classes. You body and your brain are not going to function as good as they could because you have no energy and no strength. When you try to learn something and have nothing  in  your  stomach,  you  are  going  to  have  a  lot  of  trouble  succeeding.  A  lot  of people think that they should not eat because they are going to feel tired, but that’s not true. Breakfast is not a very big meal, and on the contrary, you’re going to feel tired if you  don’t  have  breakfast  because  you  have  spent  the  entire  previous  night  without food.

ARGUMENT 3: The last reason to have breakfast every day is because you can avoid diseases if you eat some breakfast in the morning. If you don’t eat, you are going to get sick, and these diseases will have a stronger effect on you because you’re going to get sick easier than people who have breakfast every day.

RECOMMENDATION : You have to realize that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and you cannot  skip  it  without  consequences  for  your  health,  your  school  and  your  defense mechanism. It is better to wake up earlier and have a good breakfast that run to school without eating anything. It is time for you to do something for your health, and eating breakfast is the better way to start your day.

    You Are My Sunshine

    You are my daylight.

You send shading to my dim.

    When I’m in tears.

    You clear my awfulness out.

You make me cheerful when times are down.

You turn my reality upside and around.

You get my tears in your grasp.

When I’m in fear you get it.

When I’m tumbling to the ground.

You get me and spin my heart around.

When I’m encompassed by obscurity inside of the night.

You come around and cast your light.

In the event that you weren’t here I don’t recognize what I’d do.

    Daylight, I truly adore you.

You are my umbrella when it rains.

You cover me up when I’m futile.

You hold me in times of need.

You are my swathe when I drain.

When I’m desolate and times are harsh.

You adore me all that could possibly be needed.

You are my daylight in times of downpour.

It would be ideal if you let me know you cherish me once more.

    ARE YOU MY FRIEND?
    By James Brinkworth
Will you be there when I’m down,
And catch me when I fall?
Will you hold me when I need
To feel the warmth of your touch?
Will you laugh when I laugh,
    And cry when I cry?
Will you let me rant and rave,
When I need to let off steam?
Will you discuss those painful things,
That you’d rather not think about?
Like the times we’ve hurt each other,
And promised would never do so again?
Will you say the right thing,
When all I’ve heard is the wrong?
    And tell me soothing words,
That make the pain I feel subside?
Will you understand me when I say,
“I can’t see you now, go away”?
Will you come back when I call,
As if nothing happened at all?
If you’ll do these things for me,
And keep smiling all the way.
If you’ll be with me through the bad times,
    As well as the good.
Then truly you are my friend,
My pal, my mate and my confidante.
And that means so much to me.

    my heart's desire
    you are my greatest love.
    Within Me

    A candle within me
    A small flame burning,
Fueled by your eyes, your laughter, your astonishing smile.

    A yearning within me
    An aching longing,
Deepened by your joy, your charm, your ephemeral grace.

    A love within me
    A passion everlasting,
You dance among the stars, and in my fevered heart.
    My Poems

    I have been
    Telling my every poem
    How cute you are.
But now I am ashamed to tell them
    You are disrespectful to
Me, my love, and every poem
    I have written so far.
I don't want them to think
    I am a liar

    The Wait

1,600 miles is an unimaginable distance,
unimaginable because it is the distance between us,
the camera and pixels on a screen do their best to lessen the pain,
it only feels like they worsen it when I can see you but can't hold you,
I pour my heart out to you every night and I feel content except for one thing,
I can't hold the woman of my dreams and its eating me alive,
1,600 miles is an unimaginable distance for two lovers,
but its soon to be shortened.

    Before You

Before you, there was only just one heart,
Ever searching, always reaching, but never finding.

Before you, there was only just one soul,
Ever seeking, always yearning, and but never resting.

Before you, there was only just one thought,
Ever striving, always wanting, but never fulfilling.

Before you, there was only just one life,
Ever planning, always hopeful, but never complete.

Before you, there was only just one hope,
Ever lasting, always fleeting, but never achieved.

Before you, there was only just one dream,
Ever longing for, always missed, and never believed.

Then you found me, on wings sent from above.
    You taught me life's greatest lesson;
When two hearts merge... it's wonderful love.

Puisi Bahasa Inggris Berjudul "crush" atau Narsir Abis
I get this funny feeling way down deep inside.
My hands begin to shake whenever she walks by.
    My heart begins to pound.
    My head begins to whir.
Each and every time I even get near her.
I keep asking myself why I can't even say one word.
My mouth begins to open but my words come out all slurred.

    Yang aku rasakan

    The way I feel,
    when I'm with you,
    I forget my troubles,
    like there's just us two..
    You make my heart,
    beat fast and strong,
    and you make me feel,
    that I truly belong..
    You fill the gaps,
    inside my heart,
    like I've finally found,
    my missing part..
    I sink in your eyes,
    I'm warmed by your smile,

Meski begitu, janganlah semua buku para wali Allah kita baca, seperti karangan Ibnu Arabi, atau beberapa karangan Imam Ghazali yaitu Al-Mi`raj.

    My Holiday
Last week I went to Mount Bromo. I stayed at my friend's house in Probolinggo, East Java. The house has a big garden with colorful flowers and a small pool.
In the morning, my friend and I saw Mount Batok. The scenery was very beautiful. We rode on horseback. It was scary, but it was fun. Then, we went to get a closer look at the mountain. We took pictures of the beautiful scanery there. After that, we took a rest and had lunch under a big tree. Before we got home, we went to the zoo at Wonokromo. We went home in the afternoon.
We were very tired. However, I think it was really fun to have a holiday like this. I hope my next holiday will be more intersting.

My friend and his group drove on through mountains. Singaraja is a city of about 90 thousands people. It is a busy but quiet town. The street are lined with trees and there are many old Dutch houses. Then they returned very late in the evening to Kuta.
The second tour to Ubud was a very different tour. It was not to see the scenery but to see the art and the craft of the island. The first stop was at Batubulan, a center of stone sculpture. There my friend watched young boys were carving away at big blocks of stone. The next stop was Celuk, a cente for silversmiths and goldensmiths. After that he stopped a little while for lunch at Sukawati and on to mass. Mass is a tourist center My friend ten-day-stay ended very quickly beside his two tour, all his day was spent on the beach. He went sailing or surfboarding every day. He was quiet satisfied.

    Pangandaran Beach
The tour to Pangandaran Beach started on holiday last semester. We decided to go to Pangandaran Beach by our motorbike. That was very interesting tour. Riding a motorbike from my hometown, Cirebon, to Pangandaran Beach with my best friends made me feel exited.
The tour to Pangandaran Beach began at 09.00 a.m. in the morning and it took 5 hours riding to Pangandaran Beach. There were so many story that my friends and I got when we were in the tour such as there was my friend who got lost, ran out of fuel in the middle of jungle, and so forth. But it was interesting, because it was the first moment that I ever had in touring.
We arrived at Pangandaran Beach at 02.00 p.m. and we stright to move to the beach. At beach we just lied down there to stretch our muscle because of 5 hours riding. We also had a lunch there by eating some foods that we brought from Cirebon. That was very nice moment when we shared our own food to others.
After we had enough rest, we began to explore Pangandaran Beach. Started by exploring the beach, and the sea using rented boat. Then we went to dive by renting some diving equipment. We could see many coral there. We just had 2 hours to enjoy Pangandaran Beach because we had to come back to Cirebon.
We came back to Cirebon at 04.00 p.m. It was imposible to ride in the night, so we just decided to stay over in our friend house in Ciamis and we started to come back in the morning. That was very nice experience that I and my friends ever had. We would never forget that moment.

    My Grandpa’s Funeral in Toraja

Last month my family and I went to Toraja to attend Grandpa’s funeral. It was my first time to go to such a ceremony. We gathered there with our kin in the ceremony.
Overall, the ceremony was quite elaborate. It took about a week. Several days before the ceremony was done, grandpa’s body was kept in a series of houses arranged in a circular row around an open field called tongkonan. His corpse was dressed in a fi ne wearing.
The funeral was performed in two phases. First, we slaughtered the pigs and buffaloes, and then moved the corpse to face north. In this ceremony we wore black clothes. After that, the corpse was placed in a sandal wood coffin. Then, it was brought out of the house and placed on an open platform beneath the granary. Meanwhile, my uncle, my brother, and I prepared the wooden puppet and a funeral tower called lakian. The next phase of the ceremony was held in this place. The coffin is borne from the house and placed in the lakian. During the day, there were also buffalo matches. They were great matches. In the night, we were feasting, chanting, and dancing.
On the last day, the grandpa’s coffin were lowered from the funeral tower and brought up to the mountain side family graveyard. It was followed by great shouting and excitement from the relatives and the guests. Finally, we installed the wooden puppet on a high balcony where other puppets representing the members of a whole family were already there. The funeral ceremonies made my family and me tired. However, we were grateful because it ran smoothly.

    A Study Tour To Bali

I was in senior high school when at the first time I went to Bali Island. I went there with my teachers and my friends. It was a study tour actually. My teacher, me class friends, and I were in the same bus. We left our school at 8 a.m.

The journey from Pati to Bali took a day. I was so exhausted because I had to sit along the journey. Actually, it was a funny journey because I spent all of my time with my friends, like playing games, laughing, and kidding. But I felt that all of my tiredness gone all of sudden when we arrived at the Sanur Beach. It was still morning, I saw a sun rise which was so beautiful. Then we were drove to the hotel to take a rest and had meals. After that, we went to the Nusa Dua Beach. There were so many activities to do there. We could play parasailing, banana boat, and so on. But I chose to go to a little island which had a lot of reptile there. There were snake, turtles, etc. The scenery was so beautiful because I was in the middle of the sea! Next, we went to Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK). There were two statues which were so big. They were Wisnu and his bird, called Garuda. I was interested in its relief on the rock but, actually, I did not know the story on it. At last, we went to the Sosro Company. We learned a lot of things there from the first step till the end of making a tea. After that, we went back to Pati.

After a very long journey, through the land and the sea, I learned something about nature and human products. Although it took a lot of my energy, I felt so happy because I spent all of my time with my friends.

    My Busy Holiday

On April 16th, 2010, I thought this would be a great holiday for me because that was the holy day for Hindhu people . I was so tired about the study, so I guessed this time I could get full refresh anyway. However, the fact said the other way.

First like an ordinary daughter, I had to get up early morning helping my mother, of course after I prayed. Then I did my chores, cleaned up my room, and spread out my bed under the sun ray. I was really in danger if my mom knew that my room was messy. So, I made it as soon as possible. Second, my aunts called me in the afternoon. I did not meet them for a long time, that was the way I kept for hours to talk with them. After that, unpredictable my neighbor visited me. She asked my help finishing her homework. At last, the time was running and I just remembered that I had a lot of homework. I got mad, confused and regretful why I did not check my homework before. Therefore, I did my homework until 2:00 a.m. the next morning.

I did not feel this was holiday instead of I had to work hard and got a long ship with my homework.

    The Flood

One Christmas in 2007, I was joining a final test try out at school. It was held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. One of my schoolmates, Rini, asked me for accompanying her to the bus stop. When we arrived there, suddenly the heavy rain fell down from the sky. Rini suggested me to go home soon while she was entering the bus.
It was still raining when I was home. The rain did not stop and became bigger when the night had come. People were standing in front of their house, hoping that the flood would not come. In the middle of the night, I got news that South Purwodadi had been drowned.
The next day, Purwodadi had become a flood area. All activities were paralyzed. No one went for work or school because the land had been covered by flood. However, I thank God for not allowing the flood entered my house. Even my house had been changed into an emergency kitchen. It was so crowded there. I and my father took a walk around the center market and Central Purwodadi. All that we could see was water and water. At night, the flood looked like a beautiful ocean with the moonlight on it. I felt as if I was one of the passengers of Titanic who was sailing on the sea.
Finally, the flood was starting to decrease in the next morning. I and my family cleaned our front yard together. That was the greatest flood that I had ever experienced in my hometown.

My Vacation With My Beloved Sister And Boyfriend

One day, my sister said to me that she really wanted to go to the beach. So I promised her that the next day we would go to Maron beach in Semarang.

The next day, we prepared many things in the morning. We brought some foods and beverages, such as fried rice, chocolate wafers, potato chips, water and orange juice. Before going to the beach, I ask my boyfriend, Kiki, to join us going to the beach. He agreed to join and he came to my house. After that, we went to the beach. We went there by motorbike. It took 25 minutes to arrive there. Then, we bought tickets in the entrance gate. Before swimming, we changed our clothes first. We swam there for more than one hour. We felt so tired that we decided to eat the foods that we had brought. Next, my boyfriend and I created a very big sand castle, while my sister continued swimming. After that, we decided to go home because it was getting dark.

On the way home, we still felt hungry. So we stopped at a Javanese restaurant to eat something. I ordered gudeg, while my boyfriend and my sister ordered rames rice. After finished eating, we paid our bills. Then, we went home. We arrived at home at 6 o’clock and we were absolutely exhausted.

That was a very exhausting day, but I felt so happy that I could have a vacation with my sister and my boyfriend.

    My Unfortunates

Last weekend was my luckiest day ever. Many good things were coming toward me.

When the morning broke in Sunday morning, I woke up and planned to jog around the neighborhood. So I changed my clothes and went to the bathroom to wash my sleepy face. As I stepped in the bathroom, I landed my foot on a soap in the floor and feel down. A perfect morning hi for me. Next, I began my jogging and saw my gorgeous neighbor, jogging to. I though it was a good fortune to omit the gap between us. So I jogged to him and say hello. But, how poor of me, it was not him. It just someone I never met before who looked like to him. I was going home with people laugh at me along side of the street.

When I got home, the breakfast already settled and I immediately spooned a big portion of rice and ate. After I have done my breakfast my mother came up and said that the meal have not ready yet and she said that I may have a stomachache if I ate it. It was proven, I had a stomachache for the next three days.

I past my weekend lie down on me bed and be served as a queen. That was not really bad, wasn't it.

    A Page from A Girl's Diary

    Tuesday, September 30th, 2008
It was takbiran night. It was also my birthday, and nothing happened. Or I had thought nothing would happen, but I was wrong.

That night, I was watching television with my family when I heard someone lit fireworks in my front yard. I peeped trough my window glass but could see nothing. It was very dark outside. Then I thought it had to be my cousins who lit the fireworks. Then I plopped down on my sofa again and tried to concentrate on the television since my mind raced with disappointment that no one gave something special on my birthday. I shrugged, it was almost the end of the day and I became pessimist. Five minutes later my mobile beeped. It was a text from my friend asking me to come out. Wondering what was going on, I grabbed my jacket and hurried to the front door. I was surprised to see her bring a bag full of firework and fire drills. Next I was surprised to see my other friend come out from the darkness. She brought a beautiful birthday cake on her hands. Oh my God! I shrieked. Then they gave the cake to me who was too stunned to say anything. I realized I was blushing furiously because my whole family was watching. Not to mention my neighbors too!

A plain day, or I thought it was before, turned out to be one of the greatest moment in my life. I didn’t even know how to describe what I felt. Happy was the simplest word.

My First Experience to Ride Motorcycle

One day, when I was ten years old, my father bought an old motorcycle. That was " Honda 75". I think it was small light object and easy to ride it. I persuaded my father to teach me to ride " Honda 75 ". Firstly, my father refused my request and promised that he would teach me two or three years later, but I still whimpered. Finally, my father surrendered and promised to teach me.
He began to teach me riding the motorcycle around a field in my village. My father was very patient to give me some directions. I was very happy when I realized my ability to ride a motorcycle. " Yes, I can ".
One day later, when I was alone at home, I intended to try my riding ability. So, myself tried bravely. All ran fluently in the beginning, but when I was going back to my home and I must passed through a narrow slippery street, I got nervous. I lost my control and I fell to the ditch.
After that, I told my father about the last accident. I imagined my father would be angry and never let me ride again. But the reality is exactly on the contrary, my father was very proud of me. He just gave me some advices and since that accident, I got my father's permission to ride motorcycle.

    Fantastic Holiday at Yogyakarta

Last week, I went to Yogyakarta with my family. My father drove the car. My mother sat beside him. My sister and I sat in the back seats.

We woke up early in the morning. My father prepared the car in the garage while mother was preparing food for breakfast and some snacks for us. My sister and I packed some clothes. After everything got ready and we had our breakfast, we left the house at six o'clock.

It was about nine A.M. We arrived at Yogyakarta. First of all we visited our uncle. We stayed there for an hour. Then we went to Parangtritis beach. We got there at eleven o'clock. There were a lot of tourists because it was holiday. I saw many foreign visitors too. My parents watched us playing with sand in the beach. We did not swim and take a bath since the wave was rough. After having lunch, we went on our picnic to the museum and Malioboro shopping centre.

We drove back to Semarang at 7 o'clock and arrived home at ten. We were tired but happy.

    My Vacation at Bali

On holidays my family and I went to the island Bali. Using the plane, when arrived in Bali I and the family stayed at the Vira hotel for a rest.
The next morning I visited Sanur beach to see the sunrise by walking distance. And in the afternoon we were to Kuta beach to see the sunset but this time not by walking distance but using so much faster a means of transportation. using a means of transportation so much faster.

After that we went back to the hotel to rest. The next day went to the market to buy some souvenirs. Then to Joger Bali to buy cheaper t-shirts.
Because it is too tired of shopping, we went back to the hotel. Journey is not over yet we continue the journey to the Tanjung Benoa there I played Parasailing, banana boat, jet sky, flying fish, rolling donut.

Not far from there is the turtle island. To get there we need to up the boat or gatek. When arrived there I saw so much tortoise which there. And I also hold the tortoise. But apparently not as imagined so heavy his tortoise. After handling turtles I walked around the the area turns out there is also some birds, snakes, and other reptiles similar. And not half-hearted I was willing to hold it.

And after that we went to a Tanah Lot. There is also of course there are the Sacred Serpent purified. Being in a cave sector in the inner corner of the beach at Tanah Lot. Arguably the snake itself is not too big. Placed in a small enclosed area within the cave, like put it in there so that the snake can not go everywhere. And to see the snake, we are required to pay, but only his best alone.
Since it was want going to school it would not be all places visited. But next time I will visit again

    Visitting to the Zoo

Yesterday my family went to the zoo to see the elephant.
When we got to the zoo, we went to the shop to buy some food to give to the animals.

After getting the food we went to the nocturnal house where we saw birds and reptiles which only come out at night.

Before lunch we went for a ride on the elephant. It was a thrill to ride it. Dad nearly fell off when he let go of the rope.
During lunch we fed some birds in the park. In the afternoon we saw the animals being fed.

When we returned home we were tired but happy because we had so much fun.

    A Trip at The Beach

Last week my friend and I were bored after three weeks of holidays, so we rode our bikes to Smith Beach, which is only five kilometres from where I live.

When we arrived at the beach, we were surprised to see there was hardly anyone there. After having a quick dip in the ocean, which was really cold, we realized one reason there were not many people there. It was also quite windy.

After we bought some hot chips at the takeaway store nearby, we rode our bikes down the beach for a while, on the hard, damp part of the sand. We had the wind behind us and, before we knew it, we were many miles down the beach. Before we made the long trip back, we decided to paddle our feet in the water for a while, and then sit down for a rest. While we were sitting on the beach, just chatting, it suddenly dawned on us that all the way back, we would be riding into the strong wind.

When we finally made it back home, we were both totally exhausted! But we learned some good lessons that day.

    Scary Experience

I saw a horor film at Galaxy cinema last night. It was “Pulau Hantu” playing on. I read the poster on newspaper yesterday. It made me curious to see the film.
I went to the cinema alone. I went there by a bicycle. I was 8.00 when I arrived there. There had been many people queuing up to get the tickets. I came into the cinema soon after I got my ticket. I had my seat on the forefront. And at 8.30 the movie was played on.

After the movie was over, I left the cinema quickly. My watch showed 11.30 pm as I got on my bicycle. I pedaled hard on my bicycle and was soon speeding home. My thought went back to the movie I had just seen. It was a scary story. I could remember clearly a woman screaming as she was being attached by a ghost. Somehow that frightful scene stayed in my mind. And I could not forget it.
The road was dark and quiet. I had to pass a graveyard on the way home. As I approached the graveyard. I heard some sounds behind me. I was frightened and began to cycle faster. The sound came nearer and nearer. Then I heard a familiar voice calling me. I looked back and saw Suzana, my classmate. He had also seen the movie and was frightened too. She had cycled after me so that she would not be alone. Both of us laughed out loud over our behavior.
We went home together. We pedaled our bicycle calmly. We both went not scared any more.
    I Lost My Wallet

On Sunday, I went down town to do some shopping in one of the best shopping centers. It is called Vitun Maret.
I bought a lot of things; snacks, health product, and some clothes. I was very happy because that day everything was 20% off. I spent around 500 thousand rupiahs.
After about an hour I was wondering in, I decided to leave and went to a restaurant nearby to have lunch. I ordered my lunch and for the desert. I had some ice cream. I enjoyed my meals and asked for the check. Did you know what happened? I was so surprised when I tried to get my wallet in my backpack. I could not find it, it was stolen.
I felt so stupid and did not know what to do next. Fortunately, I still kept some in the pocket of my shirt. Using the payphone available there, I tried to call my parents at home. Fortunately they were at home and promised to come soon. No more than 20 minutes, they got in. then the check was paid. After that, we went home with some goods in my shopping bag.
I was so relieved and promised to myself that I should be more careful in lots of ways.

    Sunday, 14 June, 1942

On Friday, June 12th, I woke up at six o’clock and no wonder, it was my birthday. But of course I was not allowed to get up at that hour, so I had to control my curiosity until a quarter to seven. Then I could bear it no longer, and went to the dining room, where I received a warm welcome from Moortje (the cat).
Soon after seven I went to Mummy and Daddy and then to the sitting room to undo my presents. The first to greet me was you, possibly the nicest of all. Then on the table there were a bunch of roses, a plant, and some peonies, and more arrived during the day.
I got masses of things from Mummy and Daddy, and was thoroughly spoiled by various friends. Among other things I was given Camera Obscura, a party game, lots of sweets, chocolates, a puzzle, a brooch, Tales and Legends of the Netherlands by Joseph Cohen, Daisy’s Mountain Holiday (a terrific book) and some money. Now I can byThe Myths of Greece and Rome – grand!
Then Lies called for me and we went to school. During recess I treated everyone to sweet biscuits, and then we had to go back to our lessons.
Now I must stop. Bye-bye, we’re going to be great pals!

On Sunday, I and my best friend, Sari, visited Semirang Waterfall in Ungaran. It was the first time for me to visit the waterfall.

When we arrived at the hill, I felt so fresh and I could enjoy the scene. The air was so pure and all I could see only green and green.

In Ungaran, we took a little bit trekking to find Semirang Waterfall. It was too bad for me because the distance to see the waterfall was too far.

After taking so far distance, we found Semirang Waterfall. What a beautiful waterfall. We enjoyed the nice water in the rain forest surrounding the waterfall.

Hearing the sound of falling water made me peace and relax. It was also excellent drowning out background sound. Playing with the water made me feel so happy.

Finally, the time was over. It was time for us to go home. It was an unforgettable moment. I really enjoyed it.

    THE FLOOD
    Ditulis oleh Afifah Tri Hyuanawati

    MY BUSY HOLIDAY
    Ditulis oleh Rise Aditya Anggraeni

  93. Corruption
    Thesis
Do you know what the meaning of corruption is? What is the relation between money and corruption? Well, corruption is common everywhere in the world, even in the United States. It’s just a matter of intensity. However, it is quite shocking when one reliable survey claims Jakarta as the most corrupt place in Indonesia.

    Argument 1
The survey has made me sad, actually, because I stay and earn a living here in the capital. As most people know, Tanjung Priok port smuggling is not a new thing at all. Entrepreneurs who want to minimize their tax payments tend to do such a thing more often. They even bribe the officials.

Mereka bahkan menyogok pihak berwenang.)

    Argument 2
Well, I think the measures taken so far to overcome the problem by punishing the corruptors is still not far enough. We have to prevent the younger generations from getting a bad mentality caused by corruption.

    Recommendation
I believe we should start at the earliest stages in school and I think everyone should be involved in the effort to eradicate corruption. We must not make any distinction.

  94. When we look at classroom, school corridors and schoolyard, there papers, mineral water cops, straws, and napkin everywhere. The condition of unseemliness really hinders learning and teaching environment. They can be filled out with water coming from the rain. This can be placed for mosquito to spread out.
Anyway I notice that most of the students have responsibilities for their school environment. They put their litter on the proper place but some of them are not diligent enough to find the dust bins. The numbers of the dust bins in the school are not enough. More dust bins should be put beside each step, outside of the classrooms and some along of the corridors. Probably one dust bin should be in every ten meters. So when students want to throw away their litters, they can find the dust bins easily.
When school is equipped with sufficient dust bins, students do not have problem of discomfort any more. So provide more dust bins and school will be very clean and become a very nice place to study.

    Bounce
I haven’t felt like this before
The feeling that makes me high
Yes, I know this is love
But, why my heart always bounces?
When she turned and our eyes met
I never realize my body melt
And my heart beats bounce and bounce
Until I am scared they will hear
I am hesitant, Is it just me that is feeling this way
What if I have been mistaken
    And I will tear up
Your eyes that glisten like the stars
    Your lips so bashfully sweet
Is just a dream to me
But this is real, because you make me bounce
I have pondered for a while
    And finally, get the courage
The confession I prepared last night
But I could not say it
Because the moment I saw you
    You made my heart tremble
    Baby, you are my trampoline
You make me bounce, bounce, and bounce
I will always keep this bounce feeling
I do not know when it will be confessed
Maybe until I can hear your heart bouncing

    I love The Way
I love the way you tell me that I’m beautiful,
and the way you make me laugh like no one else.
I love the way you move the hair away from my eyes,
and then kiss me on my face.
I love the way when you take me to the park
and put your hands around my waist
as we watch the sunset together and feel the ocean breeze.
I love the way you’d sing to me at random moments,
and look at me and smile.
I love the way you leave the smell of your cologne on my clothes after we hug
I love the way you would send me my favorite flowers
along with an ” I LOVE YOU” card.
I love the way you speak your mind and tell me about your opinions.
I love the way you’re not afraid to cry and show your feelings.
I love the way you call me in the middle of the day just to say ” I LOVE YOU.”
and say how much you miss me.
I love the way you tell your friends about me and smile when you do.
I love the way you whisper into my ear,
the way your voice sounds so close to me.
    it feels like I’m dreaming.
I love the way you do all of these and the fact that you’re not ashamed to do it.
I love the way you treat me,
and I’m glad to be yours…

    Secret Admirer
I’ve never been the type to say what I feel
So basically I keep everything inside
And with you it was no different
I want to tell you, believe me I’ve tried
But there’s part of me that just can’t take that chance
So I doubt that you’ll ever know
Which may be fine with you, but it’s hurting me
I choose not to show it though
I guess I’m your secret admirer
That name seems to fit just right
I don’t know what I like about you
But you’re on my mind, day and night
Maybe it’s the way you look
So beautifull I can’t get enough
Or how you make me feel when you come around
I instantly forget all other stuff
Maybe it’s the way you say my name
Or maybe it’s the way you smile
Then again it might just be everything
Getting to know you seems worth my while
But I guess I’ll never know what it is
My true feelings I could never reveal to you
I’ll just admire you from a distance
I’m not sure what else there is to do

    Go To The Zoo
Last Holiday, my sister and went to the zoo. She’s a genuine animal lover. At home she spent all her energy playing and strolling our pet dog, and in all honesty, she’s been approaching me to take her for some time.
At first I wasn’t certain about going in light of the fact that I’ve generally been uncomfortable with zoo. I considered them to be similar to detainment facilities for wild creatures that ought to be sans running, not secured up pens.
All things considered, I need to say current zoos are vastly improved than I recollect, the creatures have bunches of space, they appear to be well dealt with and we took in a ton.
The main thing we saw were the gorilla. They look so human, it’s anything but difficult to how we are identified with them. They don’t have tails like chimpanzees and can walk upright a bit.
Next were the elephant. It’s stunning how they can get nourishment with their trunks. I learned you can tell in the event that they are African or Indian by the extent of their ears – African ones have greater ears.
After that it was the lions, nicknamed the ‘king of the jungle’. We didn’t hear any of them thunder, however we did get the opportunity to see them stroll about. The guys have wonderful manes of hair around their necks. Evidently it’s to ensure them in battles. I additionally read that the females do the vast majority of the chasing.
My little girl was a bit frightened of the snakes, I figure quite a few people don’t care for reptiles. I need to concede any creature with a long thin body and no arms or legs is abnormal!
The penguins made we chuckle, they are so charming! It’s unusual to believe they’re a feathered creature that can’t fly. While different winged animals have wings for flying, they have adjusted their flippers for swimming.
Alternate flying creatures I loved taking a gander at were the owl. They have gigantic eyes, delightful quills, and they can turn their necks the distance around. I read their extensive eyes are to help them see during the evening, when they are generally dynamic.
My girl was interested with the giraffe and their long, long necks. She asked me for what reason they have long necks rather than long legs – great inquiry!
With everything taken into account, it was an awesome day. Next time I’ll take her to the aquarium to see the dolphins and sharks.

Holiday in Grandma and Grandpa’s House
One week ago, I got holiday. It was because in my school was held final examination for all students in the last level in my school or many people called it as UAN. For that, by using my leisure time, I chose to go to my grandmother’s house in Bogor. The reasons I chose that place were because I not only missed my grandma and grandpa, but I also really liked to visit Bogor because this area had cool weather, and beautiful scenery. So that by those reasons, I believed that they could refresh my brain from all burden in the school like the home work that required me to finish it.
When I was in my grandma and grandpa’s house, I was invited by them to see their tea garden. I was excited to do that. Then, we went to that garden by private car. After we arrived in the garden, I saw all in the green one and I saw many people worked to pick tea leaves. I could not say anything when seeing those phenomena. I awed with those things. I though how perfect the God creation was.
By seeing those phenomena, I run to that garden to see the workers directly to know how the way in picking the tea leave correctly. There, I introduced myself to them as grandchild of their boss. So did them. In that garden, I was not only taught by them about how to pick tea leaves correctly , but I also was taught about how the way to indentify tea leaves which were ready to be taken. So that, I did not do the mistake in choosing the tea leaves to be picked.
After studying during a half hour from my grandma and grandpa’s workers, I tried to pick tea leaves with my own. I wanted to help them and I did not want them to observe me in doing that. It was because I believed that I could do it correctly as they taught me before. Then, after an hour, I picked the leaves. I showed my result to them. They said that my work was good. I was very satisfied and happy about it because I could show to my grandma and grandma that I could do it, as their workers did.
    The First Experience in Camping
In the Friday morning, I saw many students to get ready to come in their schools. Many goods that they brought for the example were sticks, ropes, woods and many others. They would do camping. Nevertheless, I did not where they would do the camping.
From that kind of phenomenon above, suddenly, I remembered when I was in senior high school time, especially in 1st grade of that level. I remembered that in my school at the time, there was regulation about for all new students in the 1st level might follow camping that was held by my school. I was very shocked about it. It was because camping was the first time for me. I never did before.
Before the date of the day, I and my friends prepared and bought many things for it. For the example, I and my friends bought hat, rope, new shoes, and tarpaulin for camping. Then, we also searched woods, and sticks. Besides, each of camping members might bring basic needs like rice, vegetable oil, vegetables, cooking spices and others. Those things were used to fulfill our needs during camping time.

The day of camping came, exactly in the Friday. Each group consisted of 10 members. Then, I belonged to the 3rd group, where it consisted of me myself, Susi, Lia, Lina, Yuli, Dwi, Wulan, Wati, Ike and Ratna. There each of members had her own duty. For the example at the time I , Wati, and Wulan had duty in cooking. Then the others had different duty of mine. During in camping time, there were many activities that done by us like we learned how to make tent, to make litter, we also asked to go around fire and many other activities. Those activities were very pleased. It taught me about the meaning of togetherness. That was my first experience in camping.

    Falling from tree
When I was kid, I felt out of my friend’s mango tree. At that time, my friends and I wanted to eat mango in front of my friend’s house. The tree was very high. We could not climb it because at that time we were little.
Because no one dared to climb the tree, I braced myself to climb it. I knew that I could not climb the tall tree. However, I want to show them that I was great. Then I climbed the tree. Having reached the top, I started looking for fruit which I would take. I saw my friends from the bottom praised me. “Great, you are awesome!” said one of my friends. “Fetch the fruit!” begged my friend. Then I tried to reach the fruit. However, when I was about to pick it up, the trunk where I stand broken. I felt from the tree. “Gubraaakk” My body crushed the ground. I cried in pain. I see blood was coming out of my head.
At that moment, I was ushered by my friend to my home. They told my mother that I fell out of a mango tree. Then my mother treated my wounds. Until now the wound is still seen in my arm. Every time I see it, I remember my childhood that careless and love to be praised.

This story began from the reading poem exercise in front of the class. At that time I was studying in Junior high school. Ups, let me tell you my name is Ilham. I was a shy boy who sometimes embarrassed myself. I lived in a simple family. I used to help my mother in the traditional market after going home from school. So almost all my days were spent there. Hmm.I still remembered when the devision of weekly reading free poem in front of the class by Miss Yeni, Indonesia language teacher. I got a turn to read a poem next week. It meant there was still one week to make a free poem. Honestly I am talented enough in composing beautiful words. But I couldn’t express it in front of the class. One week had passed and I hadn’t made it.
When it was my turn to read my poem. Miss Yeni called my name. I walked tremblingly with a pale face. Along the atmosphere of the class was quiet, my cold sweat began to shed.suddenly miss Yeni asked me,”Ilham, what theme is your poem?. I bowed down my head. “Ilham, you haven’t made it, have you? She asked me twice. “Yes mom, I am so sorry, because I am really confused to write it in a book”. I said. “If you are confused writing on book, why don’t you write it on the board instead?”. She replied while my friends were laughing at me. Then she gave me a board marker and told me to write a poem on the board. I wrote it tremblingly and of course with an embarrassing feeling.
Having finished writing the poem. I immediately turned to sit back. Suddenly miss Yeni called me,”Ilham..”. While reaching out her hand. Without thinking anymore, I shaken her hand while saying thank you. But Miss Yeni said,”I don’t want your handshake, but you still bring my board marker, Ham”. All of a sudden the whole class laughed hearing miss Yeni’s explanation. I immediately returned it.
    Burglary
I was a young man who wanted to visit my companions’ home in the night. I did it in light of the fact that amid the day, I needed to class and contemplated. In this way, I had sufficient energy to visit and to talk with companions just in the night. Nonetheless, in light of the fact that there was a terribleordeal, as of now, I do not need leaving the home during the evening any longer.
One day, I went to a companion’s home. I cleared out house at 8:00 PM. I drove a cruiser for 15 minutes and afterward touched base at the house. There was no exceptional thing that we did, old buddy, Andi and I simply visiting, playing guitar, and playing amusements.
I was astounded when taking a gander at the clock, I think it was still at ten or eleven, yet it was at that point at 01:00 AM. Obviously instantly, I went home. I overlooked the request that of Andi stay at his home. Despite everything I decided to go home in view of my guarantee to my mom for not staying at that night.
I rode the cruiser gradually. A couple of minutes after the fact, I heard the sound of an auto in a home. I was more inquisitive when I heard a stifled cry. The cry was similar to a man whose the mouth was shut compellingly. I stop the cruiser and afterward strolled to the house moderate, and this time I understand that it was the wrong choice.
Indeed, we were back again to the story. When I strolled gradually, then the dark clad veiled man saw me. He ran and got me. I continued revolting and attempting to shout, however he had a major body so that I couldn’t get away. I quit attempting these endeavors after one more individual came in and pointed a weapon at me.

I was exceptionally terrified. The two men instructed me to stroll into the house and I saw five shooters and three individuals whose the mouth had been bolted up (it resembled that they were mortgage holders).
The robbers crippled, in case we endeavored to escape, they didn’t vacillate to hurt us. I could calm in light of the fact that it was to a great degree frightened. Two or three minutes sometime later, one of the robbers took an edge and endeavored to decrease a home loan holder. It created the impression that the plunderer bothered in light of the way that couldn’t find the fortune he was hunting down. Since incapacitated, the proprietor immediately told where the zone of productive things that he had.
I was intrigued about those noteworthy items, when they found it, I endeavored to look, in any case I was in a flash struck by the head. By then, I could simply see it at first. Appeared to be just as they burglarized valuable stones.
In the wake of getting a pocket of valuable stones, they required more. In the wake of being told about the valuable stone box by the house proprietor, out of the blue they taught me to hold up. They asking for that I walk around a shielded, open the safe, and took a pocket of gems. After I opened it, the safe contained a considerable snake, yet he was resting. Goodness My God, it was the most exceedingly awful bit of my life. They trained me to take valuable stone continuously so it would not to wake the snake. Luckily, I had the limit take the pocket for the snake and he didn’t wake up. I could take it viably.
They took it from my hand quickly and bound the proprietors of the house, including me. We were all tied up and our mouths close using a tape. They went quickly and quietly. They were the master robbers that achievement to make me frightened.
A few hours sometime later, two people who may take the first light supplication to God went to the spot of interest why the gateway house was open. Finally we were all released and on that day I must be at the police base camp for the duration of the day in light of the fact that they were obliged me as a witness of the robbery.
I would never forget that night, the most observably dreadful night!
    My Friday Night
During my third year of college I became acutely aware of the Womens Rights Issue.
I made an attempt to re-examine many of the cultural norms that I had previously accepted as just being “the natural order of things.” One of the paths I took to expand my awareness of the female psyche involved women’s literature.
That is why I spent one weekend of my life in bed–crying, laughing, feeling sometimes confused, and often, incredibly angry and distraught.
On that rainy Friday night I had decided to read “The Women’s Room.”

    Bad Shopping Experience
I had a bad experience when I did shopping because of the shop assistant’s fault. However, the security officer of the shop really embarrassed me of stealing a pair of blue jeans.
That was on Sunday afternoon. I went to a fashion shop with my friends. I chose a pair of blue jeans to buy and paid for them at the cashier. Unfortunately, the shop assistant was careless. She forgot to take the censor clip on the blue jeans. So, when I left the shop, the detector beeped. The security officer shouted at me, “Hey, you…! Stop!!” Then, he took me to the manager’s room.
After examining, the security officer and the manager realized that it was not my fault. They said they were very sorry about what had happened. Finally, the manager asked me to take one piece of clothing for free.

The Battle on Nopember 10, 1945
The Battle of Surabaya was fought between pro-independence Indonesian soldiers and militia against British and British Indian troops as a part of the Indonesian National Revolution.
On 27 October 1945, a British plane from Jakarta dropped leaflets over Surabaya urging all Indonesian troops and militia to surrender their weapons. The leaders of the Indonesian troops and militia were angered, seeing it as a breaking of the agreement reached with Mallaby earlier.
Brigadier A. W. S. Mallaby, the British brigade commander in Surabaya, was travelling about Surabaya to spread the news about the new agreement to his troops. Shortly after that, Mallaby was shot and killed. That made Lieutenant General Sir Philip Christison was angered .
At dawn on 10 November, British troops began a methodical advance through the city under the cover of naval and air bombardment. Fighting was heavy, with British troops clearing buildings room by room.
The battle was the heaviest single battle of the revolution and became a national symbol of Indonesian resistance. Considered a heroic effort by Indonesians, the battle helped galvanise Indonesian and international support for Indonesian independence.
It was a day now commemorated in Indonesia as Heroes’ Day.

My First Day at Senior High School
That was my first day at senior secondary school. I learned at Pelita Bangsa senior secondary school. That was the first banner service in that school year. I felt so apprehensive in light of the fact that I would confront introduction program for a few days ahead. Some new understudies came late so that they would get discipline before they could enter the door.
After the banner service, I instantly went to the classroom. I saw the cumbersome air of the classroom. I didn’t know anybody of them. It appeared that nobody was my classmate in Junior High School. I decided to sit in the front side. There was still unfilled seat. At that point, somebody came and sat close to me. She was Putri. She was my chairmate. She was more garrulous than me. She helped me to soften the circumstance. She was so clever, as well. I was so glad to have her as my chairmate.
I was making the most of my discussion with Putri when all of a sudden my seniors went to the classroom. They designated me to come before the classroom and requesting that I present myself. I was stunned. I stood up and began to present myself. After I had presented myself, despite everything they didn’t permit me to take a seat. They requesting that despite everything I stand up there. I was so perplexed. I pondered what they were going to do.
Until the last understudy completing his presentation, despite everything I held up. Couple of minutes after the fact, one of my senior, started a discussion with me. He said that I was delightful yet I looked unconfident with myself, so they requesting that I hold up. They needed me to see the majority of the understudies from in front and felt that everything’s alright. I didn’t need to stress anything and I ought to stood and present myself certainly. I felt touched in light of their way. They gave careful consideration on me. At that point, they permitted me to take a seat. I felt so mitigated.
Be that as it may, out of the blue they got irate again to me. I didn’t comprehend what truly happened right then and there. It was so unusual. I attempted to keep myself smooth. I was truly stunned and I didn’t recognize what my slip-up was. I felt that I had done well. In the long run, I saw my class instructor came. She needed to comprehend what happened in light of the fact that my classroom was so uproarious. I was eased for the second time that my educator could take a handle of that issue. My seniors were out of the classroom. At the point when my instructor was giving guidance for us, I saw two individuals before the entryway. They thumped the entryway.
Shockingly, they were my guardians. At the point when my educator opened the entryway, they all of a sudden sang “Cheerful Birthday” melody. I cried. I was stunned. I comprehended what truly happened at this point. Alongside my guardians, my seniors came and brought numerous sustenances. The greater part of my companions in the classroom sang a tune for me, as well. What a grand day. I will always remember that minute. That was so inestimable. Much obliged to you for my guardians, my instructor, my seniors, and the majority of my schoolmates.
My First Day at Senior High School
That was my first day at senior high school. I studied at Pelita Bangsa senior high school. That was the first flag ceremony in that school year. I felt so nervous because I would face orientation program for several days ahead. Some new students came late so that they would get punishment before they could enter the gate.

After the flag ceremony, I immediately went to the classroom. I saw the awkward atmosphere of the classroom. I didn’t know anyone of them. It seemed that no one was my schoolmate in Junior High School. I chose to sit in the front side. There was still empty seat. Then, someone came and sat beside me. She was Putri. She was my chairmate. She was more talkative than me. She helped me to melt the situation. She was so funny, too. I was so happy to have her as my chairmate.
I was enjoying my conversation with Putri when suddenly my seniors came to the classroom. They appointed me to come in front of the classroom and asked me to introduce myself. I was shocked. I stood up and started to introduce myself. After I had introduced myself, they still didn’t allow me to sit down. They asked me to still stand up there. I was so afraid. I wondered what they were going to do.
Until the last student finishing his introduction, I still stood up. Few minutes later, one of my senior, began a conversation with me. He said that I was beautiful but I looked unconfident with myself, so that they asked me to stand up. They wanted me to see all of the students from in front and felt that everything’s okay. I didn’t have to worry anything and I should stood and introduce myself confidently. I felt touched because of their way. They paid so much attention on me. Then, they allowed me to sit down. I felt so relieved.
However, unexpectedly they got angry again to me. I didn’t know what really happened at that moment. It was so weird. I tried to keep myself calm. I was really shocked and I didn’t know what my mistake was. I thought that I had done well. Eventually, I saw my class teacher came. She wanted to know what happened because my classroom was so noisy. I was relieved for the second time that my teacher could take a handle of that problem. My seniors were out of the classroom. When my teacher was giving advice for us, I saw two people in front of the door. They knocked the door.
Surprisingly, they were my parents. When my teacher opened the door, they suddenly sang “Happy Birthday” song. I cried. I was shocked. I understood what really happened now. Along with my parents, my seniors came and brought many foods. All of my friends in the classroom sang a song for me, too. What a wonderful day. I will never forget that moment. That was so priceless. Thank you for my parents, my teacher, my seniors, and all of my classmates.
    Some Activities on Sunday
On Sunday, my mother went shopping at the local supermarket to buy daily needs. While my father and I did the housework together. I usually washed my clothes using washing machine. When it finished, I hang the clothes out to dry. While I was washing, my father always did gardening. He loved to plant flower in the garden. Even though he liked to gardening, he didn’t want to water the plant, I was ordered to do that.
I usually had someone to wash my motorcycle, but my father said I should do it by myself. So, sometimes I argued with my father about that. He said I have to save my money than bringing my motorcycle to the washing service. After my mother arrived from the market, I helped her to bring the stuffs. Then, we prepared the lunch. My mother wanted to cook soup for lunch. I was asked by my mother to sew the vegetables, while my mother peeled the onion. When we were busy at kitchen, my father was watching the television in living room and I didn’t like that part.

  112. 40. Watching Movie

My sister and I went to see a film last night. It was an American movie called The Lost Flight. It showed how people can quickly change when they have to look after themselves in the jungle. It was an interesting film about a plane which crashed on a small empty island in the Pacific Ocean.
Although the passengers were safe, nobody knew where the plane had crashed. So the passengers had to learn how to hunt for food in the jungle and how to catch fish from the sea to eat. After a few weeks, the passengers were eating raw fish and meat.
After they had been on the island for two months, three of the men made a boat and sailed away to find help. But their boat sank and they were drowned.
The film ended without saying whether the passengers were rescued or not. But my sister and I enjoyed the film.
    2. Travelling Around The World

Deri saved his money and spent two months traveling around the world. He wrote his journey in his diary.
I spent a week in New York and then flew to London and enjoyed several weeks in Europe.
When I had seen the sights in Europe, I took a train to Istanbul and visited many places in Asia.
First, I flew from his home in Mexico City to New York City. After through Asia, I went to south America and finally back home to Indonesia.
Deri felt tired but he was very excited and wanted to travel again.
    3. Going to School

My mother got me ready for school then I had to wait for her to brush my hair and place every strand
    in just the perfect position.

I remembered that I had a plan to see to the cinema with my friend, Lisa. I tried to phone her by my phone but the battery was low so I had to recharge the battery. When I had called her, I was disappointed that she couldn’t go because she had to visit her grandmother. So I stayed at home all day long. To kill my boring time, I played the game on my laptop and surfed on the internet. I downloaded music and movie. I did that because I liked to listen to the music and watched the movie. Then I had lunch with my parents. After that, I took a nap until afternoon. On the night, I did my homework for tomorrow, after that I had a dinner with my parents. I went to the bed at 21.00 because I couldn’t stay up the night.
    Vacation in Jogjakarta
A week after receiveng school report, my mother offered me vacation to Yogyakarta with my cousin Alex. Initially, my father offered me either Bandung or Yogyakarta but my mother prefer Yogyakarta to Bandung because I had an Uncle who lived in Sleman, Yogyakarta, so it would be safe. Since, I have been long time not to Yogyakarta, I immediately accepted. It seems there is no more place for a holiday in Lampung that we have not visited so had to get out of town. The next morning we set off both by bus to Yogyakarta.
Promptly at 5 at dawn we reached Sleman bus station, Jogjakarta. While waiting for uncle to pick up, we drank coffee at a restaurant near the terminal. All around are a lot of people who are on vacation like us. Most of them are Javanese people who have long settled in Sumatra but still have relatives in Java, just like us. We were picked up around 6 am when the sun began to rise. The journey to the uncle’s house was through rice fields and sugar plantations. Not much different from Lampung, it was just that people are well known with hospitality. The first thing we do in the village uncle was visiting some relatives there. Some relatives who already looked old and wrinkled had been waiting for our arrival.
The first thing we wanted to visit in Jogjakarta is certainly the historic site known as one of the wonders of the world, Borobudur. By his car, we were ushered to Borobudur with our female cousin, Umi. It took only about 45 minutes from uncle’s house to Borobudur. There, we saw many statues of Buddhist gods shaped. Borobudur, turn out, is not only visited by visitors from Indonesia. In fact, there were many visitors from Germany, Australia, France and many more. Following from Borobudur, we went to Prambanan Temple, one of the historic sites used as a place of worship of Hindus. In contrast to Borobudur, Prambanan temples are Hindus. Many statues of Hindu gods shaped there. Who does not know prambanan? According to myth, Prambanan is made by jinn.

get near the door. Only after my mother was totally satisfied, would I be allowed to rush out of the frontdoor.
I would leave home at 8 am on the dot and make my way down the lane. After a walk of about 700 metres I would be able to see the tall steeple of the
    school.
The playground would be full in the summer and the noise would make me want to rush into the yard and get into a good game of football before the bell

    4. My Great Day of Proposing Girl

I woke up at about five o’clock yesterday. It wasn’t a regular day, because I was about to propose a girl.
After praying and taking a bath, I had my early breakfast. At about nine o’clock I was in my office but my soul wasn’t there. I was thinking about the lines that I had to say to her.
At one o’clock, I had my lunch but I wasn’t enjoying it either. So, I practiced the lines to almost all girls I met at my lunch. Yes, I was a little bit crazy. Finally, it was three o’clock. I remembered all my lines. I wrapped my works and got ready to pick her up and of course proposed her.
I met her at four o’clock, took a little walk and went to a movie. At seven, we had a romantic dinner. I thought it was the perfect time to ask her to be my wife. Then I said the lines that I practiced the whole afternoon.
She smiled. I reached my pocket to get a ring and put it around her finger. Then she said “Yes.” After driven her home I went back to my house.

    My Bad Day on Sunday

I had a terrible day yesterday.
First, I woke up an hour late because my alarm clock didn’t go off. Then, I was in such a hurry that I burned my hand when I was making breakfast. After breakfast, I got dressed so quickly that I forgot to wear socks.
Next, I ran out of the house trying to get the 9:30 bus, but of course I missed it. I wanted to take a taxi, but I didn’t have enough money.
Finally, I walked the three miles to my school only to discover that it was Sunday!
I hope I never have a day as the one I had yesterday.
    6. Meeting a Star

On Saturday morning at 9:30, I was walking down Sunda Street, looking for a record store.
A man stopped me and asked me the way to the Hyatt Hotel. I wasn’t sure exactly where it was, but I walked with him to the end of Sunda Street. He was very friendly, and his face looked so familiar.
Then I remembered where the Hyatt was and told him how to get there. He thanked me and tried to give me something. I thought it was money. I said ‘no’ at first, but he really wanted me to have it, so I took it.
I found the record store and listened to a few records. D’ Masive had a new record that was number two in the top twenty. I decided to buy it. I looked
in my bag for my wallet and found a piece of paper the man gave me. It was a photo.
I was so surprised! He was a singer in D’ Masive!
    7. Going Camping

Last weekend, my friends and I went camping.
We reached the camping ground after we walked for about one and a half hour from the parking lot. We built the camp next to a small river.
It was getting darker and colder, so we built a fire camp. The next day, we spent our time observing plantation and insects while the girls were preparing meals. In the afternoon we went to the river and caught some fish for supper.
At night, we held a fire camp night. We sang, danced, read poetry, played magic tricks, and even some of us performed a standing comedy.
On Monday, we packed our bags and got ready to go home.
    8. Holiday in Bali

We had a wonderful holiday in Bali.
It was a really great place. The people were friendly, the food was great, and the weather was a lot better than at home.
Most days were pretty. I swam two or three times a day, but my brother Fachri just spent all his time lying on the beach with his eyes closed.
Last Saturday I got on the bus and went to the north of the island, It was much quieter there than here–very beautiful, but no tourists. The next day we went across to
the east coast to see some of the old villages.
I learned Balinese–I couldn’t say much, but it was fun to try. Fachri actually spoke it quite well, but he was afraid to open his mouth, so I was the one who talked to people.

    Trip to Jogjakarta
On the last holiday, my family and I went to Jogjakarta. That was my the third time visited Jogjakarta, but I still love to be there. Jogjakarta is very classic and very special, that’s what I am feeling about this city. As soon as we arrived in Jogjakarta, my family and I checked in at a hotel called “Septia”.
Our first day in Jogjakarta, we went to Prambanan temple. That was the third time I went to Prambanan temple. The situation still looks like the last time when I visited it. My family and I started to walk around the Prambanan temple. There, my family and I took pictures of ourselves. We also took some pictures with tourists from another country.
The second day we visited Jogjakarta palace. Just like Prambanan temple, that was also the third time I visited Jogjakarta palace. I was not really interest about the palace, because I thought that palace still like that. But, there was something different from the last time I visited it. My parents asked a guide that full of spirit to explain anything about the palace. He explained anything, from the statue, the building and the pictures in that palace.
In the evening, my family and I went to “Malioboro”. We were so happy at “Malioboro” because there, we bought so many things until our legs got weak. So, we decided to stop and eat something before we continue to shop. We ate “mie ayam” and drank a glass of iced tea. After we finished, we continued to shop although we already felt tired. Finally we went back to the hotel at ten o’clock at night.
The last day at Jogjakarta my family and I went to “Bumi Jawa”. “Bumi Jawa” is a place to buy special gifts from Jogjakarta. There, we could buy many traditional Jogjakarta foods such as,Bakpia, Geplak, Gethuk, and any other traditional food. We also could taste it before we buy it. My parents bought a lot of foods there, because it would be used as souvenirs for the other family members at home. After we have finished, we went back to the hotel and we directly tidy up our stuff to our suitcase because we need to go back home on the next day. It was nice holiday. Hopefully my family and I can visit Jogjakarta again someday.

At the end of second semesters ago, my class conducted tours to Pangandaran Beach. We decided to go to Pangandaran Beach by renting a bus. That day was very enjoyable holiday for us because we went together to relieve our fatigue after having a final exams.
Pangandaran Beach Tour was started at 08.00 in the morning. Our trip to the beach spent time for 2 hours on the way. There are so many stories and experience which we had there. We sang all the time along our way till the 2 hours did not seem long for us. Instead we felt the time passed quickly.
We arrived at 10:00 am at Pangandaran Beach. We cannot wait to feel the happiness in Pangandaran beach which is famous for its beauty. After our bus was parked, we all headed to hut to put our stuff there. Even there some my friends were already heading to the beach. After that we went to replace our clothes to swim. After that we headed to the beach together.
We were very pleased and happy to play on the beach. There were so many activities that we did on that day, such as swimming, water playing, chasing each other on the seashore, and banana boat riding. Even I was buried in the sand by my friends until my whole body covered with sand beach. We all played on the beach up to 2 hours.

Our trip to the Blue Mountain

    Orientation
On Friday we went to the Blue Mountains. We stayed at David and Della’s house. It has a big garden with lots of colourful flowers and a tennis court.

    Events
On Saturday we saw the Three Sisters and went on the scenic railway. It was scary. Then, Mummy and I went shopping with Della. We went to some antique shops and I tried on some old hats. On Sunday we went on the Scenic Skyway and it rocked. We saw cockatoos having a shower.
    Reorientation
In the afternoon we went home. That was very pleasent moment with my family that I ever got.
    Visiting Bali

There were so many places to see in Bali that my friend decided to join the tours to see as much as possible. My friend stayed in Kuta on arrival. He spent the first three days swimming and surfing on Kuta beach. He visited some tour agents and selected two tours. The first one was to Singaraja, the second was to Ubud.

On the day of the tour, he was ready.

The next stop was Celuk, a center for silversmiths and goldensmiths. After that he stopped a little while for lunch at Sukawati and on to mass. Mass is a tourist center.

My friend ten-day-stay ended very quickly beside his two tour, all his day was spent on the beach. He went sailing or surfboarding every day. He was quiet satisfied.

    Children's Day

On Children's Day in 1999, a technology company treated more than 200 underprivileged children to a 'high-tech' experience. They were given training on information technology.

The company wanted to provide opportunities for these children to learn more about the Internet and the latest technology. They wanted to help the less fortunate in the community.

The children had an enjoyable and educational experience that day. They were exposed to the new technology for the first time and they were very interested. The company hoped to conduct many more such training sessions for these children. They fell that the skills the children had would be useful to them when they grew up.

The company was very active in caring for the less fortunate. They even put aside one day a year for their employees to do volunteer work to help the needy. They also donated money to many charitable organisations.

Many people had benefited from their efforts. Many also praised the company for being so generous towards the needy.

On New Year’s Eve 2015, my big family and I celebrated New Year’s Eve together. We held a big dinner planned by my father and my uncle in my house. Before the celebration, we all prepared what was needed such as ingredients of food, fireworks, trumpet, and sound system.
The weather on the day was not so bright. Drizzling rain which flushed the earth since the morning did want to not stop. But it did not dampen our spirits. My cousin and I went to the market to buy fireworks. We bought quite a lot of fireworks on that day to enliven our big event. After getting fireworks, we helped my father and uncle to prepare karaoke appliance and sound system at home, while my mother and aunt prepared chicken meat and seasoning to be in roast tonight.
Precisely at 18.00 everything we need was ready. We were just waiting for 22.00 o’clock. We deliberately postponed the dinner time so that we could enjoy the food we made later. While we were waiting, I and my big family joked and laughed together in the living room. We also did karaoke together; each of us had to sing a song. My uncle who was good in singing did not want to miss to entertain us. At 22:00 we started to prepare the food. My father, uncle, cousin and I prepared the chicken meat to be grilled, while my mother, aunt and sister prepared rice, side dishes and drinks. After the chicken meat was cooked, we ate together while waiting at 12.00. We ate with gusto at that time and we fell so happy to eat together.
At 11:45 we started to prepare the fireworks to be burned. After the time was closed to 12.o’clock, we counted down to set off fireworks. We immediately set off fireworks right along with the turn of the year. We also blew the trumpet to add to the excitement of the evening. It’s amazing to see the fireworks show together with my big family. I hope we can hold this event again next year.
    Eid al-Fitr with Family
Every year, I spend my Eid al-Fitr holiday in Solo, Central Java. I visit my grandmother every year. Last year, as usual, I went to Solo with my family. The second day of Eid al-Fitr, I went to Jogja. I visit my cousin’s house. I had not travelled there for a long time. The last time I visited Jogja was 2 years ago. Everytime I go to Jogja, I will always remember my childhood. I spend my childhood in Jogja.
I went to Jogja with my family and I asked my grandmother to join. We tried to feel another atmosphere of Eid al-Fitr in other city. My cousin had prepared many foods for us. When we arrived at my cousin’s house, we were welcomed cheerfully. My niece has been taller and more beautiful now than two years ago when I visited them. The house was very antique and made me comfortable. The house was decorated with many ethnic Javanese ornaments. That was a beautiful house. I was so happy that I could gather with my family.
We ate together in the living room. My cousin cooked rendang, spicy potato, fruit salad, and the other delicious cookies. We enjoyed the foods. It tasted more delicious when I ate it with people that I love. Then, I remember a quotation which says that the taste of the food depends on who eats together with us. After eating, we talked together. My aunts and uncles were busy asking about my future plan. We were busy asking each other about our life since we had not seen each other for a year. After that, we took a picture together. In the evening, we decided to go back to my grandmother house in Solo. I felt so tired, and then I immediately went to bed.

The third day of Eid al-Fitr, I stayed at my grandmother house. We waited for the guests who wanted to meet us. That day, my mother cooked different foods from what are always served in Eid al-Fitr. My mother cooked shrimp sambal with fermented durian, that is called tempoyak, fried carp, boiled vegetables, and sayur asem. My mother cooked foods that Lampungnese call it as Seruit. Everyone who came, really enjoyed seruit. They said that seruit was delicious but very spicy. They liked seruit very much. They said that the boiled vegetables were very fresh and the fried carp was very crunchy.
In the evening, my uncle came and brought fireworks. We played fireworks on the yard. What a beautiful night. We saw the beauty of the fireworks sparkling on the dark sky. My little niece, nephew and cousins got excited. I was excited, too. After plaing fireworks, we ate roasted corns. The next morning, we prepared for going home. After dzuhur, we went home to Lampung by bus. It was a moment which is full of emotion. My mother felt sad because she had to leave her mother. I was also sad to separate from my family in Solo. But, we promise that the next year we would visit them again.

My Experience In The Idul Fitri Day Last Year
Juni 19, 2009nayay18Tinggalkan komentarGo to comments

1st Syawal 1429 H is the Idul Fitri day last year. I was very happy in that day because I and all of moslems celebrated a victory day that called Idul Fitri day or Lebaran day. For most people, Lebaran is a day that we must use new clothes, nes shoes, new style, and all. Whereas, the most important thing is how do we purify our heart for our next life.
In that Idul Fitri day, I and my family went to the mosque for did Ied prayer. We went there at 6 o’clock a.m. and Ied prayer started at 07.45 a.m. There was a lot of people in that mosque. Most of them used white at all. Because white is pure, I thought.
As soon as we arrived at home, we forgave each other. After that, we had a breakfast and prepared to go to my mother’s village. The name of the village is Bungkutoko island. We went there by a car that driven by my father. During the trip, I listened to the music and did my assignments from my lecture. Actually, the view was very beautiful but I was not enjoyed it at all because I had to finish my assignments, so I need some big concentration for them.
One hour later, we arrived at Bungkutoko island. We decided to visit my aunt’s house at first. She is my mother’s sister. Her family is bigger than ours. She has four children, two sons and two daughters. Three of them was married and had some children. My aunt’s house is not so far from the sea, so my sisters planned to play sand there.
In my aunt’s house, we met the others family, Uncle Is, Uncle Syam and their wife, my grandmother, my mother’s youngest sister and some of my cousins. Her house was very crowded. My aunt made a lot of cake, her cakes is very delicious. After I ate some cakes, I asked my sisters, Puput and Tyas to went to the sea in front of my aunt’s house with me. They were very enjoyed to play water and sand while I took some pictures of them and the view.
Some minutes later, my mother called us to come back to my aunt’s house for having lunch. After that, we did the dishes together. My aunt is a good chef. All of her cooking was very tasty. And Dzuhur time came, I and all of my family prayed together. After prayed, I and some of my family went back home and some of the others decided to spend the night there. I was very happy in that day, I hope all of us had a long age so we can celebrated the Idul Fitri day in next year.
    New Year’s Eve Celebration
On new year’s eve 2014, my family and I celebrated it by watching the firework in the Town.
The weather at that time was not so bright. But it did not dampen my spirit to see the moment that only happened once a year. My family and I left home at 10.30 pm. The distance from our house to the town was not far. On the way, we met with our neighbors who also wanted to spend the time to watch the fire work. About fifteen minutes, we arrived at the Town. The atmosphere was bustling with sellers. The food’s sellers and trumpet’s sellers were all busy serving customers. We did not forget to see the concert that night. Finally, the moment that we waited was arrived. People all together counted down ten to one. Then, various kind of the fireworks exploded in the air beautifully. I was recording the firework with my hand phone.

Soon after he left college, Dave found one of his uncles who was very rich and had no children of his own died and left him a lot of money, so he decided to set up his own real estate agency.
Dave found a nice office. He bought some new furniture and moved in. he had only been there for e few hours when he heard someone coming toward the door of his office.
“It must be my first customer” Dave thought. He quickly picked up the telephone and pretended to be very busy answering an important call from someone in New York who wanted to buy a big and expensive house in the country.
The man knocked at the door while this was going on. He came in and waited politely for Dave to finish his conversation on the phone. Then the man said to Dave; “I am from the telephone company and I was sent here to connect your telephone”

    PUISI DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INGGRIS
    TINGKAT SMP

Hal
ini perlu dilakukan karena beberapa alasan. Diantara alasan tersebut adalah bahwa proses belajar
mengajar Bahasa Inggris sudah menjadi pengajaran life skill.

mengkombinasikan tujuan utama pembelajarannya, yaitu sukses membuat siswa mampu
berbahasa Inggris juga sukses mengantarkan mereka lulus ujian nasional. Dari sisilah kita perlu
semacam terobosan proses pembelajaran.
Maka jadilah kurikulum terbaru yaitu Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan seolah menjadi

Burton Raffel sampai perlu untuk mengatakan poetry is not a frightening monster lurking in the
academic darkness, waiting to leap out and trap the poor, unsuspecting reader (Tedjasudhana,
Birk (1969:366) mengatakan poetry is rhythmic, melodic utterance which, through
human history, has expressed the deepest feeling of man
    sebaliknya.
