Raja langsung  pergi meninggalkan pengemis sendirian.
The Miserly Beggar
The king was to pass by a beggar’s hut and the man was beside himself with excitement, not because he was about to see the king but because the king was known to part with esxpensive jewels and huge sums of money when moved by compassion.
He saw the king’s chariot  just as a kindly man was filling his begging bowl with uncooked rice. Pushing the man aside, he ran into the street, shouting praises of the king and the royal family.
The chariot stopped and king beckoned to the beggar.
“Who are you?” he asked.
“One of the most unfortunate of your subjects,” said the beggar. “Poverty sits on my doorstep and follows me about like a dog. I haven’t eaten since yesterday afternoon!”
“Have you got nothing for your king, except a tale of woe?” said the ruler, putting out his hand. “Give something.”
The miserly beggar, astonished, carefully picked up 5 grains of rice from his bowl and laid them on the king’s outstretched palm.
The king drove away. The beggar’s disappointment was great. He raved and ranted, and cursed the king again and again for his miserliness finally, his anger spent, he went on his rounds.
When he returned home in the evening, he found a bag of rice on the floor.
“Some generous soul has been here, he thought and took out a handful of rice from the bag. To his astonshment there was a small piece of gold in it. He realized then that the bag had been sent by the king. He emptied the rice on the floor, feeling sure there would be more gold pieces in it, and he was right. He found 5, one for each grain of rice he had given the king.

Menjalankan Tugas, Jangan Melalaikannya

bentuk Active Sentence:
(+) Subject + V2
(-) Subject + did + not + V1
(?) Did + Subject + V1?

Dalam konteks kalimat bisa berupa:
I studied English grammar yesterday. And I did not  take  Math course yesterday afternoon, because it was rain. Why did my Math teacher give me a  reward?

Yesterday
Last .... (last month, year, etc)
..... ago. (a week ago, month, year, etc)

Misalnya dalam kalimat:

  1. My baby slept soundly yesterday.
  2. He didn't talk much to me, did he get a good meals yesterday?
  3. Many bats flew to the west area a week ago.
  4. The scientists did not know the reasons, why did they fly away to that place last week?
Exercises (soal latihan)

    Mr. Matta/go to/the beach yesterday
Answer:
(+) Mr. Matta went  to the beach yesterday.
(-) Mr. Matta did not go to the beach yesterday.
(?) Did Mr. Matta go to the beach yesterday?
Yes, he did. No, he did not.

Do these exercises as sample above!
1.She/bring/some beach balls a week ago
2.Gatot/buy/ a new surfboard  yesterday
3.Mrs. Anis/wear/sunglasses to the beach last week
4.Mr. heri and his son/sit/on the bench yesterday morning

Recount Text

My camping, Holiday at Sanur Beach, etc. Berikut ini adalah contoh teks recount:

An Excursion to Botanic Bogor Garden
All right, everybody, I’ll tell you about this great place. On Friday 16 March we went to Bogor Botanic Garden. We went there by bus and we arrived at that famous garden at 10 o’clock.
Arriving at the garden, we were divided into two groups. Group A followed Mrs. Nina and Group B followed Mr. Ahmad. I was in group A. Well, first we went to odd tropical plants and Mrs. Nina read us some of the information. Then, we looked at all the lovely plants. After that, we went to a little spot near the Raffles cemetery and had morning tea. Next, we did some sketching and then we met group B at the information center to have our lunch.
Soon, it was time for us to go to the orchid section while Group B did some research on flowers. A lady led us to the orchid section. Then, she explained about many kinds of Orchids.
Next, we had a look at the Indonesian orchid. Wow, we saw many kinds of Indonesian orchids. They were all beautiful. Later, we took a look at the American, European and Asian orchid’s section. It was interesting. Soon after we had finished our observations, we went back outside and met group B. Then, we got on the bus and returned to school. We really enjoyed the trip and to Bogor Botanic Garden.
