Ibu, itulah anjuran Rasulullah pada umatnya agar menyayangi, mematuhi, bahkan menyenangkan hati sang ibunda. Posisi ibu adalah sesudah Allah & Rasulnya, sebelum posisi ayah, artinya dari perjuangan yang dilakukannya untuk kita sejak mengandung, melahirkan kemudian sampai memberi ASI bahkan mendidik kita sungguh tiada terkira jasa ibunda kita. Pantaslah sang ibu didahulukan sebelum posisi ayah. Hal ini bukan maksud merendahkan ataupun menyepelekan peran seorang ayah dalam sebuah keluarga, tetapi semata-mata Islam sungguh memuliakan posisi seorang ibu.
Kata "sebelum" dan "sesudah" selain dalam Bahasa Indonesia, di Bahasa Inggrispun frekuensi penggunaannya juga cukup tinggi. Khusus dalam tata penulisan ataupun tata bahasa (grammar), cara penggunaan kata sebelum (before) dan sesudah (after) mempunyai beberapa kriteria penulisan, boleh dikatakan sebagai acuan/panduan, meskipun ketika dalam penggunaan komunikasi sehari-hari bahasa lisan (spoken language) mengalami sedikit perbedaan.
A. BEFORE (SEBELUM)
Contohnya:
1) I will eat banana before I drink milk.
2) I ate banana before I drank milk.
3) I ate banana before drinking milk.
4) I ate banana before milk.
B. AFTER (SESUDAH)
Contohnya:
1) I will drink
milk after I eat banana.
2) I drank milk after I ate banana.
3) I drank milk after eating banana.
4) I drank milk after banana.

When we use “Before /After” in a sentence this is the formula/pattern

1) Before = followed
by main clause (klausa utama)
2) After = followed
by subclause (anak kalimat)
