Little Molly, Home Sweet Home

Ia mulai menyiapkan bekal perjalanan.
Molly menghela nafas, menghirup nafas panjang, ia lagi-lagi menemui kekecewaan.
Mampu Mensyukuri Yang Dimilikinya
Kedekatan Jiwa Dengan Sang Pencipta
Molly and Golden Windows
Little Molly lived in a small beautiful town. Her tiny house was constructed on the banks of a beautiful river, near a mountain. She was the only daughter for her parents. Although they weren't very rich, they lived happily.
Molly did not like her house very much. She felt that the house was too small and not very neat. She liked the house on top of the mountain because of the glittering golden windows. The windows sparkled and glazed so beautifully that little Molly completely mesmerized. She went crazy for that the glittering golden windows and started to hate her home more. However, little Molly was so sweet and she understood the struggles her family was undergoing.
Years passed by and she grew up quickly. She became 12 years and looked very beautiful like a golden princess. She believed that she was supposed to live in a house with golden windows, not in an old wooden house.
As she grew older, her mom allowed her to move around her house. It was a holiday and she decided to climb the mountain and peek into the house with the golden windows. With so many struggles, she reached the top of the mountain.
She stood in front of the house and saw the dirtiest house, in fact the damaged castle with dark windows. The golden windows she saw were in fact the reflection of the dark and dirty windows. Suddenly, she looked at her home. A window in hers was shining like gold. She realized that the sun rays reflected in the water made the window glow. The truth was she lived in her dream home, the home with beautiful golden windows.

  1. Dear Editor,
We are writing to complain about ads on TV. There are so many ads, especially during our favourite programmes. We think they should be stopped for a number of reasons.
First, ads are nuisance. They go on for a long time and there are so many. Sometimes there seems to be more ads than programmes.
Second, ads are bad influence on people. They try to encourage people to buy unhealthy food like beer, soft drink, candy and chips. And they make people want things they do not really need and can not.
Finally, the people who make ads have too much say in what programmes people watch. That is because they want to put all their ads on popular programs that a lot of people watch. Some programmes which are not so popular get stopped because they do not attract enough ads, even though those programmes may be someone’s favourite.
For those reasons, we think TV station should stop showing ads. They interrupt programmes. They are bad influences on people, and they are sometimes put a stop to people’s favourite shows. We are sick of ads, and now we mostly watch other channels.

  2. Impacts of Drugs Misuse
Drugs which contain compounds that give addictive effects for users are really harmful. At the beginning, people, who misuse it, want to relive their stress by consuming the addictive drugs. They do not think about the dangerous impacts which will appear after they consume it. Teenagers often fall into this problem because their parents probably do not pay enough attention to their children. The impacts of consuming this kind of drugs are not only for the users, but also for their family, and even for our country.

First, the users will have the impact for themselves. They will have brain function disorder and they do not grow normally as other teenagers. Besides, poisoning is the symptoms that arise due to the use of drugs in a lot number, it influences their body and behaviour. If they consume it in an excessive dose, they will get overdose that can cause death by stoppage of respiration or brain blooding. Overdose occurs due to the tolerance so that we need a dose which is greater or for a long time we stop consuming it, then we put up with the former dose in use. Health damage or organ function disorder like liver, heart, pulmonary, the kidney, the endocrine glands, reproduction, and skin diseases will also appear.

In addition, the consumer of drugs will also get behaviour or mental-social disorders which are hard to control. They are easily offended, outraged, withdrawn from the community, and their relationships with family/fellow are disturbed. Their value of religion, culture, and social life, that they have, can decline. Furthermore, economic and law issues can be involved when the addicts are in debt to meet the need of drugs. They can steal money or sell his personal belongings or family. If they still go to school, they can use the school fees to buy drugs, so that they are threatened dropped out of school. Second is the impact for their family. The comfortable and peaceful atmosphere of their family can be disturbed. The family are worried because their belongings are lost in the house. Their children are lying and not responsible. They steal, deceive, and become asocial. The parents are embarrassed because their children are the addicts. The parents feel guilty, and try to cover the child. The future of their children is unclear. The children are dropped out of school or unemployed. Stress level increases. Parents are desperate for the increased output of money, or because their children must be treated in the hospital for many times, maybe even live in prison. Family should bear the burden of these socioeconomic problems.

Third is the impact for our country. The mafia of illicit trade are also trying to supply drugs. The dealers relations with victims are connected and they create the black market. Therefore, the market is formed and we are difficult to break the chain of their courses. The consumers of narcotics do not have durability and sustainability so that our country’s development is threatened. The state will suffer loss because the people are not productive and crime increases and also the infrastructure that must be provided.

The misuse of drugs that is done by people can cause impacts not only for themselves but also for their surroundings. The loss that they suffer is huge for this case. The impacts of drugs misuse are really hazardous and bad for ourselves, family, and our lovely country.

I walk around the neighborhood with my sister just to experience how it is like to be in Yogyakarta. 5. On the second day, all of us went to Malioboro street. We saw so many merchant with various of product which they claim to be a traditional product of Yogyakarta. I bought some wooden figurine and T-shirt with the word “Yogyakarta” printed on it, while my sister bought some leather handbag. My mom and dad were busy choosing some merchandise to be brought home when we go back.

  8. When I was in Junior High School, my father once took me to go fishing with him at the river on Sunday morning. The river lies across our oil palm plantation. We had breakfast first at home and then left early in the morning by motorcycle.

When we arrived in our plantation, my father parked the motorcycle under the hut. He asked me to collect some dry wood and dry grass or leaves. When I already collected enough wood and dry leaves, my father set a fire in the center of the fireplace. He said that the smoke from the fire would scare some dangerous animal like bear and boar to come closer to the hut and so it would make us safer.

  9. After cleaning some wild grass around the hut, my father gave me a hoe and asked me to dig some soil to find worms. When I already had enough worm, I brought it to my father and we went straight to the river. We put the worm on the fishing hook as a bait to catch the fish. As a beginner fisher, I cannot apply the worm on the fishing hook well, and it look like it was about to fall of the hook, but my father said that it was okay. I threw the fishing hook into the river and wait for the fish to eat the bait, but nothing happened after a while. When I was about to get bored I saw a big prawn was slowly walking in the water. I placed the fishing hook slowly into the face of the prawn and move it up and down so the worm seemed alive. I never expected it to happen but suddenly the prawn move its hand and grabbed the worm on my fishing hook. I lift it very slowly and the prawn was still there hanging tight on the worm until I placed it on the ground and I caught it right away with my hands. My father was so surprise to see it. Before we went home, we cooked it at the hut and enjoyed it together.

  10. After a year working in Australia, I finally managed to come back to my hometown last month. It is in Cimahi, a city located in the west side of Bandung. I spent a week staying here. During this time at home, I learned that my best friend, Richie, had become a successful medic in the government’s hospital in my hometown. So I called him and we decided to have a “Bro Time” at the weekend.

  11. Richie picked me up at 4 p.m, and he brought me straight to a new waterpark in town which he claimed to be the biggest waterpark in Cimahi. We parked our car in the parking area and walked straight to the entrance gate. There is a ticket counter at the gate and we have to pay Rp.80.000 to get into the waterpark. Richie paid for our ticket, he said it was a treat for me of his first salary as a medic in the hospital. I thanked him.

  12. We handed over the ticket to the gate keeper and he allowed us to enter. After that went to a counter where we took the key for our locker. In this counter, we need to give them something as the assurance if we want to use the locker, so we gave them our car’s key. They said that we will get the car’s key back when we return the locker key. After that we went to the locker room, where we changed our clothes and get ready to swim. Before we enter the pool, we decided to rent a dual swimming float, the price was Rp.20.000 and I decided to pay it. We brought it to the pool and sat on it. After that we also swim and took some picture together. After playing in the water for about an hour, we were so hungry and we decided to go to the foodcourt. We order two plates of fried noodle and two cup of ice tea. I paid the food as a treat for Richie. After finishing our food and drinks, we went to the locker room to change our clothes and went back home at 6 p.m.

  15. From the lobby, we went out to the street. My father order a ride to a local driver. It looked like a becak motor but a lot bigger and the people called it “tuk-tuk”. My father asked the driver to take us to Chatuchak Market and find us a restaurant that served Halal food for Moslem. Then we arrived at a small restaurant which turned out to be owned by Indonesian. The owner was very nice, he gave us a free meal when we were about to left his restaurant. He said that it was for our breakfast, just in case we couldn’t find any Halal food at the hotel. My father thanked him and ask to exchange their phone number. Before we went back to the hotel, my father took me around the Chatuchak Market. I saw so many toys that I have never seen before in Indonesia. My father bought me one of those toys, it was rubber chicken. It was so funny, because when we squeeze it, it will make sound just like rooster. After that we went back to the hotel and go to bed.

We finished the job at 5 p.m, and we still have enough time to head back to the hotel, took a quick shower and drove right away to the airport. 17. Last weekend I spent all day laying on my bed. It was just like the Lazy Song by Bruno Mars, “today I don’t feel like doing anything” hehe. But sometimes doing nothing was just something that we needed the most, especially after a long and super exhausted week at the office.

It was Sunday and I woke up at 9 a.m in the morning. I looked around me and I saw a new comic book that I just bought yesterday laying next to my Macbook. I try to dragged it closer to me by using my foot, and then I pick it with my hand. I unwrapped the comic and start reading it. When I just reached the middle of the story, I felt thirsty so I got up of my super comfortable bed and walk out the room. I walked down the stairs right to the kitchen.

When I checked my fridge, I saw that I still have a leftover Pizza from yesterday, so I decided to reheat it in my microwave. So I sat in the kitchen for a while waiting the Pizza to be ready. When the timer of the microwave is off, I pick the Pizza up and put it on my plate. I took my orange juice and my Pizza and brought them back into my lair. I enjoy the Pizza and the orange juice and continue reading my comic book. After that I decided to watch my favorite K-drama on my Macbook, so I set my portable laptop desk on my bed. This way, I can watch my favorite show without having to leave my super cozy bed.

After a while, we finally arrived at Bajul Mati beach. This beach is located in Malang, East Java. While enjoying the sea breeze, we ate together first. We can not stop being amazed at the beauty of this beach. Bajul Mati beach has not been well-known enough, so there were not many visitors there. But the beach was still so clean and brought us comfort.

It felt fresh when the sea water reached our feet. We decided to swim in the estuary because the current was calm unlike those in the ocean. We had been swimming for about 15 minutes, before our father called and sent us to the seashore while our mother just took picture on us with his camera.

  29. I was so happy because last semester, I got good scores. My pleasure increased because during a week, I spent the holiday at grandparents’ home in Wlingi.
I arrived at their home Sunday morning at around 10.00. My grandmother is the best; she had finished preparing my favorite food when I just arrived at her home. Noticing my favorite food which was already on the table, of course I was immediately fascinated. Yes, my grandmother usually cooks my favorite food (chicken rendang) when I take a visit to her home, there is a large family reunion and lebaran. Perhaps, my grandmother cooked the chicken rendang for se felt so pleased knowing my plan to spend the holiday here, because we had not seen nearly 8 months at that time.

Next, I decided to move towards my favorite place in the grandmother's house which was in the porch. In front of grandma's house there are a wide football field and a tall banyan tree. Around this field, there are still so many paddy fields, which looked so green at that time. It was in contrast to the area in which I live where its field is getting narrower from year to year because it is closed to build housing.

After praying Ashar, I went to my family's rice field together with my grandparents which is located about 400 meters from the house. I was so amazed to see the rice terraces getting yellow which was so beautiful. Grandpa said that it was likely that our paddy could be harvested the day after”. He promised that he would take me to see the harvesting of paddy. Of course I approved the promise, and I couldn’t bear for two days after that day. I had already imagined how fun this activity would be. Even I had estimated how many sacks of rice we would get after harvesting.

The first day, I did some activities that I rarely do in school days. I started these activities with jogging in the morning, then played games on the computer, and played online games until 10:00 a.m. After that I took a bath, and continued playing the online games again until 12.00. Midday prayers time (Dzuhur) came so I must pray and then followed by lunch. After midday prayers and lunch, I and all members of the family gathered in the living room to watch TV together while chatting.

  34. The next day, I was conducting a little bit different activity. After breakfast, my mom asked me to go with her to the Grand Mall in Bekasi. At the mall, I accompanied my little sister to play on timezone while waiting for our mother to finish shopping. I got home at 12, we continued our activities with midday prayers and had lunch together. After midday prayers and having lunch together, watching TV together while relaxing repeated again.
The next day, I tried to do my hobby which is writing short stories. That day I spent almost entire day to write short stories. I just took rest when prayer times and meal times with the family came. But at night, I spent quality time with my family to watch some DVDs together.
In the following days, we spent the time by doing the same activities. We were very happy even though we did not travel far away to spend a holiday. We enjoyed very much the family togetherness in the last holiday.

  35. Last year, at the end of the year, my wife and I decided to spend our holiday at Tanjung Setia beach, which located around 234 kilometers from Bandarlampung.

When we arrived at the beach, we were surprised to see the beautiful view of the beach. After having a quick dip in the ocean, which was really cold and windy, we realized that there were not many people there. We thought that it happened because it was too windy there during that time but we finally realized that it was Christmas holiday so almost all of tourists who are used to spending time there went back to their country.

The next day we visited Labuan Jukung beach. There, we were amazed to see the high wave owned by this beach. Because it was so high that no body was brave enough to surf on it that time.

When we got to there, we saw some elephant performances such as playing football, sitting, greeting the visitors, and other entertaining performances. Unfortunately, we could not see the Sumatran rhinoceros because visitors must have a special permit in advance to see them. Visitors or ordinary tourists cannot see the Sumatran rhino’s natural breeding. In the afternoon we saw some animals which were being fed.

When we returned home we were tired but we were happy because we had so much fun in Way Kambas.

I arrived there nine o’clock the next day. Along the road, we saw many vehicles, unique houses, prominent buildings, and some other tourists.

After we arrived at the Borobudur temple, one of my teachers went to buy tickets. After we waited him for a moment we entered into Borobudur temple area. Then we went up to the top of the temple. Borobudur temple was built at Budur Village, Magelang, Jawa Tengah by Syailendra Dynasty. Borobudur Temple is the biggest temple in the world. It has 504 statues and 1.400 reliefs. From the top of the temple we can see such beautiful scenery. I and my friends went around the temple together. Finally, after having some visits, we should go to the hotel to stay and continue our study tour the next day.

  39. Last holiday, I and my beloved wife, visited Lembah Pelangi Waterfall in Ngarip District, Tanggamus Regency, Lampung Province, Indonesia. It was the first time for me to visit such a wonderful waterfall.

To reach the waterfall location, we should go on foot after having around three hours trip riding a motorcycle from Bandarlampung, the capital city of Lampung. When we arrived there, I was amazed by the beautiful scenery of the waterfall. The air was so fresh at that time and I could not bear to jump into the water immediately. It is quite windy there and all I could see only green, green, and green. Hearing the sound of falling water while we were swimming made me feel peaceful and relaxing.

Finally, the day was getting dark and it was time for us to go home. It was such an unforgettable experience for me. I really enjoyed it.

Before lunch we went for a ride on the elephant. It was a thrill to ride it. Dad nearly fell off when he let go of the rope.
During lunch we fed some birds in the park. In the afternoon we saw the animals being fed.

  43. Today I woke up at 5:00am in the morning. I put on my loose fitting shirt, trousers, sturdy black boots with little holes in them, wide brimmed hat and a plastic bag with spare dry clothes in case it rained so I didn’t get a cold. When I got out of the four-wheel drive I could feel the refreshing cool air, it smelt like it had been raining for ages before I came to the rainforest. I decided to explore the forest floor.

    ReplyDelete
  44. The first animal I saw was a magnificent, giant eastern brown snake. I was so scared I felt like I wanted to run but that would be really dangerous!

The second animal I spotted was a beetle eating a rotten berry. I bent down to have a closer look but it stank like rotten eggs and onion mixed together.
Then I turned to the right and saw a bowerbird collecting lots of blue stuff like wrappers and blue flowers. It had beautiful, magnificent, midnight-blue eyes and it looked very graceful.

    ReplyDelete
  45. By now I had seen enough on the forest floor so I decided to go to the understorey. So I went to the bridge in the understorey 20m high off the forest floor.
The first animal I saw in the understorey was a massive, graceful, blue butterfly sucking pollen off a beautiful orchid. That was my favourite animal so far of all the animals I saw.

The second animal I spotted was a black bat hanging upside down on the branch near me. Before I arrived at the rainforest I thought we wouldn’t see a bat because I was going in the day and bats are nocturnal.

    ReplyDelete
  46. The third animal I spotted was a grey Boyd’s dragon it was eating lots of bugs and beetles. I looked down to the forest floor and saw a little stream, it had a cute, little platypus looking after her five tiny, mini babies.

By now I had had enough of the understorey so I decided to go up the ladder to the canopy. I already knew that we would see lots of brightly coloured birds in the canopy.
I went up the ladder and on the way up I already saw lots of birds and lots of berries and colourful, beautiful, rainbow flowers. When I got to the canopy I was 30m high.

    ReplyDelete
  47. The first animal I saw in the canopy was a Crimson Rosella it was eating seeds off some beautiful flowers. The Crimson Rosella was dark red and midnight-blue on its tail and wings.
I could see the emergent trees 50m tall off the ground. I saw a wedge-tail eagle looking for food and other little animals.

I had a great time because I liked the rainforest. The most terrifying animal was the eastern brown snake. I liked the blue butterfly the best of all the animals.

I didn’t celebrate the Chinese New Year as I’m not Chinese but I guessed that it was a good time for me to get full refreshing. I was so tired to studying. However, the unpredictable fact broke everything up.

First like an ordinary daughter, I had to get up early morning to help my mother, of course after I prayed. Then I did the dishes, cleaned up my room, and did my bed. I was really in danger if my mom knew that my room was messy. So, I made it as soon as possible. After finishing everything, my aunts called me in the afternoon. I did not meet them for a long time so we kept for hours to talk about some up to date gossips. Not long after that, my neighbor who is also my schoolmate visited me. She asked my help to finish her homework. At last, the time was running and the homework was successfully finished. An unpredictable moment happened after that. To my surprised, I just remembered that I had a lot of homework too. I got confused and regretful why I did not check it. As the consequence, I did my homework until late night and it was hardly finished. Since then, I always check my home work before having a holiday.

I did not feel this was holiday instead of I had to work hard and got a long ship with my homework.

He asked me to collect some dry wood and dry grass or leaves. When I already collected enough wood and dry leaves, my father set a fire in the center of the fireplace. As a beginner fisher, I cannot apply the worm on the fishing hook well, and it looks like it was about to fall off the hook, but my father said that it was okay. The next day, we walked around the town of Madiun until the sky got dark. Finally, we decided to go home at 6:00 p.m. on that day. 74. On the next day, I forgot that it was the New Year. Suddenly, one of my cousins came and asked me to celebrate the New Year's Eve together. At night, I went together with him to the center of the city of Madiun which had already been so crowded because a lot of people who also wanted to celebrate the New Year with his family. When the countdown arrived, the sky which was dark at once then became so colorfully decorated with fireworks. We prayed together and watched the fireworks lightening the sky that night. Suddenly, the holiday passed quickly. The last New Year's holiday experience in the city of Malang was so impressive for me. 75. The last semester holiday was a moment that I'd been waiting for. Because as long as I sit in ninth grade, I was spending more time to learn than doing some activities associated with my hobby. My last holiday was classified as a very simple holiday. I was only at home for doing my hobbies such as writing, drawing, and visiting my friends’ house. On the first day until the fifth day, I spent time with writing some short stories, chatting with family, and painting some objects at home. 76. Then in the following days, I visited my friends’ home to study and to do fun things together. Having finished studying, we then cycled around the area to see new things together. After being tired of cycling, we took the visit to other friends’ house while fulfilling the thirst. Every time the day got dark, we went back to our homes to spend time with family. Those days were very enjoyable for me. Although I only spent the holiday at home by doing funny things, spending time with family, and visiting my friends’ home while studying, I really enjoyed that short holiday. 77. was so happy because last semester, I got good scores. My pleasure increased because, during a week, I spent the holiday at grandparents’ home in Wlingi. I arrived at their home Sunday morning at around 10.00. My grandmother is the best; she had finished preparing my favorite food when I just arrived at her home. Noticing my favorite food which was already on the table, of course, I was immediately fascinated. Yes, my grandmother usually cooks my favorite food (chicken rendang) when I take a visit to her home, there is a large family reunion and lebaran. Perhaps, my grandmother cooked the chicken rendang for we felt so pleased knowing my plan to spend the holiday here because we had not seen nearly 8 months at that time. 78. Having finished eating, I told him my experiences at school. They were very happy to know that my semester report’s scores were good. Next, I decided to move towards my favorite place in the grandmother's house which was on the porch. In front of grandma's house, there are a wide football field and a tall banyan tree. Around this field, there are still so many paddy fields, which looked so green at that time. It was in contrast to the area in which I live where its field is getting narrower from year to year because it is closed to build housing. The beautiful scenery accompanied by the breezes that blow caused me sleepy. I didn’t know since what time I had fallen asleep on the porch until Ashar praying time was coming. 79. Of course, I approved the promise, and I couldn’t bear for two days after that day. I had already imagined how fun this activity would be. Even I had estimated how many sacks of rice we would get after harvesting. Days seemed to run very fast there. I didn’t feel that it had already been the night. We just stayed at home because of the heavy rain outside. The ambiance was so warm when my grandmother prepared us STMJ (Susu = Milk, Telur= Egg, Madu= Honey, Jahe= Ginger) which is my and my grandfather’s favorite beverage. We ended the fun day with drowsiness coming suddenly and then sleep. Read more : https://www.pintarsekolah.com/2018/01/contoh-recount-text-tentang-liburan.html?m=1

  80. Hi friends, now, I will tell my semester holidays at home. The last holiday, I chose to spend the time at home just because I wanted to have a lot of time hanging out with family at home. The first day, I did some activities that I rarely do on school days. I started these activities with jogging in the morning, then played games on the computer, and played online games until 10:00 a.m. After that, I took a bath and continued playing the online games again until 12.00. Midday prayers time (Dzuhur) came so I must pray and then followed by lunch. After midday prayers and lunch, I and all members of the family gathered in the living room to watch TV together while chatting. 83. Last holiday, My family was on vacation. we went to Malaysia. We used a travel agent to manage our holiday. We had booked two days tour in Malaysia. We went Malaysia by plane. The travel agent had booked the ticket for us. The flight was only one hour from Jakarta. On the plane, the cabin crews were very friendly and they were very handsome and beautiful. They gave us some directions before the flight. Our plane, Garuda Indonesia had very complete facilities to accompany passengers during the journey, such as movies player, music player, newspaper, magazine, etc. We had a very pleasant flight. On arrival at Kuala Lumpur, we had to go to Customs and Immigration. The officers were pleasant. They checked the document carefully but their manners were very polite. After that, the travel agent brought us to Petronas Tower and took some photos there. In the afternoon, we went to the hotel to take a rest. The hotel was a well-known five-star hotel. The room had a perfect view of the city. On the third floor, there was a restaurant serving American, African, Asian European food. They had a variety of food. In the next day, we went to Sepang circuit to watch MotoGP race. I wanted to watch directly my idol Valentino Rossi and took photos with him. During the race, I was surprised because that was my first time I saw motorcycles ran fast up to 300 km/hour in front of my eyes. In the ending of the race, Rossi was the first rider who touched the finish line. I was so happy because he won.The two days in Malaysia went by fast. At the end of the second day, we were quite tired but we felt very happy. Read more : https://www.pintarsekolah.com/2018/01/contoh-recount-text-tentang-liburan.html?m=1

  84. Last year my family and I went to Bunaken island. We got to the island by boat that we rent in Manado. It took about 50 minutes to get to the island by boat from Manado. We stayed in the island for two days where we got to experience snorkeling and diving.
We departed from Manado at 7 a.m and arrived at the island at 8 a.m. The driver park the boat at a small pier near the entrance gate of the island. We brought all of our luggage down from the boat and took it to the entrance gate, where a small car was already waiting for us. The car was a service from the hotel where we stayed during our vacation in Bunaken.

  85. After checking in at the hotel and put all of our belongings in our room, we rent an atv bike and rode it to the beach. When we arrived at the beach, I changed my clothes into swimming suits and wore a snorkeling mask. I walked to the shore with my father and we jumped into the water. I saw a lot of colorful fish and coral. After sightseeing the beautiful scenery down the sea, I walked back to the beach to get my GoPro camera. I didn’t realize that the waterproof case was not tightly sealed when I jumped back into the water, and my camera was broken.

  86. I brought the camera to my father. He checked it and he said that it was okay. He opened the case and remove the battery. After that he tried to dry it by using a towel. I left it with him and continue playing at the beach. When we got back to the hotel, my father ask for some uncooked rice to the receptionist and the room boy delivered it to our room. My father pour the rice in a bowl and buried my camera in it. He said that this treatment was necessary if any of your electronic devices was accidentally plunged into the water.

  87. This story happen three days ago. At that moment I was hanging out with my friends in shopping malls. We were about to go to the cinema, when suddenly I heard a child was crying.
I looked around me but I saw no one. When I walked for about five steps, I looked to the left and I saw a little girl was standing in front of an escalator. I tried to approached her and asked her why she was crying. She said nothing but staring downstairs. I stood up and looked downstairs, it was her mother trying so hard running on an escalator to go upstairs to get the little girl. But it was a useless effort because she didn’t realize that she was actually running upstairs on an escalators which went downstairs. I believe it was because she was so nervous at the moment and the only thing she was thinking was to get to her little girl ASAP.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I made a quick decision right away. I hold the hand of the little girl gently and I said “come on, come with me, I will take you to your mom”. She said nothing but she opened up her arm to me so that I can hug her and cary her on my chest. I said from upstairs to her mom “don’t worry, I’ll get her to you”, and then I stepped on the escalators and walked down as fast as I can and give the little girl to her mother. Her mother was so happy that she didn’t say anything but smile to me. I smile to her too and said, “everything is okay now”.

  90. Buying stuff online could be dangerous for us if we didn’t do it carefully. As we bought it through the internet, so we could not see or touch the item before it was arrived to our address. My experience was one of the proof that insurance is really important when you wanted to purchase something on the internet.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I really wanted to buy a new android phone by using my salary from Google Adsense. So, I decided to try to do it online. I typed on google the brand of the android phone that I want and some website or as we called it today “online shop” showed up on the search list. I chose one of the website that I consider to be the most famous of all and then I clicked the link. It brought me to the web page.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I saw so many types and series of the brand that I was looking for and I sorted it by its price from the lowest to the highest price. This way, I could chose one that would fit my budget. Finally, I found one. I like the design, color and also the specification, and the price was just as I expected. So I hit the “buy now” button and it brought me to the payment section where I had to choose the payment method that I want. I chose to pay the item through Bank transfer, and the website gave me the total amount that I had to transfer along with the bank account details where I had to transfer the money to. I put all the details on my note and I went to ATM machine to transfer the money.

    ReplyDelete
  93. When I got back from the ATM, I took a photo of the transfer receipt and uploaded it to the website as payment proof so that my order could be process right away. After that I had to wait for three days until the item was arrived at my address. When the item was arrived, I opened up the box and took the smartphone out. I tried to turn it on by pressing the power buton several times but nothing happened, and I realized that the phone was broken. Luckily I had the insurance paper stated that I can return the phone and get my money back if the phone was broken. So I sent it back to the company, and got all of my money back.

  94. When I was in Junior High School, I joined a cooking contest in my school. It was my first time to join a competition and it was my first time to cook by myself. There were 45 participants of the contest and all of our parents were there to watch the process.
I already decided that I want to make fried rice. So I started by peeling off the garlic and shallot. After that I chopped them into a very small pieces and then put it on a small plate. I also sliced two stalks of red chilli and put them together in the small plate. When the preparation was complete, I started cooking.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I put the frying pan on the stove. I placed a tablespoon full of margarine on the frying pan and then I turned on the stove. When the margarine was starting to melt I add chilli sauce into the frying pan and then I whisk it by using the spatula. When I could smell the nice aroma of the margarine and chilli sauce, I add a tablespoon of oyster sauce and all spices that I put on the small plate earlier into the frying pan and whisk all of them for only 10 seconds. After that I add a plate full of rice into the frying pan and whisk all of them until the spices and the rice mix perfectly. At the end, I add a small amount of soy sauce and salt into it and mix them to the fried rice. I served my fried rice on a large plate and I add a fried egg and some chips to make it beautiful.

  96. Last night I was alone at home because all of my family went to cinema. I was the only one who didn’t want to go with them for one reason, I already watched the movie with my friend last week. Suddenly there was a blackout in the neighborhood, it was so quiet and so dark, and a little bit creepy.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I was laying on the couch when the blackout happened. The first thing I did was grabbing my cell phone and turn it on. I was lucky that I had a flashlight function on my phone, so I turned it on and use it to light the room. I tried to find a candle in the cabinet and I found one. I lit the candle and place it on a small plate. After that I put the candle on the table so the light can spread all over the room. Then I went to my room and took my blanket and went back to the couch where I stayed and waited for my family to return home. I covered all of my body with my blanket and hide underneath it because I was scared.

  98. Last holiday our family went to Bali to have picnic. We went there by plane. We were in Bali for six day, so we had to stay in a hotel because we didn’t have any relatives there. We stayed in Bali beach hotel near Sanur beach.

When we came to the hotel, we didn’t come to our room directly but we have to check in first. We were received by the receptionists who were friendly and kind, and then we were helped by a room boy who took us to our rooms.

  99. On the second day we visited Sanur beach. We just took a walk because the beach is in front of the hotel. We walked along the seashore, played water and sand. Actually we also wanted to swim in the beach but the lifeguard didn’t allow us.

Besides doing many activities we also watched some foreign tourist’s activities. They were lying on the beach, while others were having massage or surfing. When we felt tired, we took a rest to have some meals and drinks; and at 2.0 p.m. We went to the hotel. It was tiring but we were happy.

  102. My first overseas trip was when I went to Thailand with my father. At that moment I was still in Junior High School level and it was a school day off. My father took this trip because he needed a data for his research about the legendary bird “Garuda”, which turned out to be a legend too in Thailand. We spent only 1 day in Thailand, but I already experience a lot of new things.

When we first landed at the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, we got a taxi and asked the driver to take us to the nearest hotel. He drove us to Windsor Suites Hotel located on Sukhumvit Road. We went straight to the receptionist and booked a room for tonight and tomorrow. The receptionist gave us a card that we can use as a key to unlock our room. We went to our room and took a quick shower, change our clothes and then went down to the lobby again.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  104. In the morning, we enjoy free breakfast at the hotel. We had a lot of Halal food to choose. I took a couple glass of free milk for myself. After that my father order an Uber and ask the driver to take us to three archaeological sites in Thailand which were Ayutthaya Historical Park, Ban Non Wat village, and the temple of Prasat Ta Muen Thom. When we arrived on each destination, my father started collecting the data. While my father was working, I walked around the historical site and took a lot of picture of myself. We finished the job at 5 p.m, and we still have enough time to head back to the hotel, took a quick shower and drove right away to the airport. We went back to Indonesia that night at 9 p.m. My father and I were exhausted but I was so happy.
