Jalan Baru: Anak Tidak Bisa Memilih Siapa Ayahnya

Ini Lho Bapakku!
Bapakmu kerjanya apa?
Tukang Pamer, Pastilah Menemui Kekecewaan
Yap, bukannya mengandalkan aji mumpung.
Bersikaplah, Less is more, tampil dan bersikap bersahaja sajalah.
Very Danger!
Lebih seringlah bersosialisasi secara langsung dengan teman daripada melalui sosial media, gadget dan sejenisnya, tidak akan muncul kepedulian, mungkin yang muncul adalah suka pamer dan rasa ego yang tinggi menjulang.
Bersikap sesuai Buku Manual
Maka berIslamlah, so selanjutnya Allah yang membimbing kita.
Lalu bagaimanakah peran pelajar?

  3. 14 barisLast year, at the end of the year, my wife and I decided to spend our holiday at Tanjung Setia beach, which located around 234 kilometers from Bandarlampung.

When we arrived at the beach, we were surprised to see the beautiful view of the beach. After having a quick dip in the ocean, which was really cold and windy, we realized that there were not many people there. We thought that it happened because it was too windy there during that time but we finally realized that it was Christmas holiday so almost all of tourists who are used to spending time there went back to their country.

After spending few times swimming in the beach, we bought some hot chips at the takeaway store nearby, and we rode our bikes down the beach for a while, on the hard, damp part of the sand. The next day we visited Labuan Jukung beach. There, we were amazed to see the high wave owned by this beach. Because it was so high that no body was brave enough to surf on it that time.

The third day there, we decided to go home when we finally made it back home, we were both totally exhausted because of the trip but we were so happy to travel such an amazing beach Lampung province has.

    .
When we got to there, we saw some elephant performances such as playing football, sitting, greeting the visitors, and other entertaining performances. Unfortunately, we could not see the Sumatran rhinoceros because visitors must have a special permit in advance to see them. Visitors or ordinary tourists cannot see the Sumatran rhino’s natural breeding. In the afternoon we saw some animals which were being fed.

When we returned home we were tired but we were happy because we had so much fun in Way Kambas.

I arrived there nine o’clock the next day. Along the road, we saw many vehicles, unique houses, prominent buildings, and some other tourists.

After we arrived at the Borobudur temple, one of my teachers went to buy tickets. After we waited him for a moment we entered into Borobudur temple area. Then we went up to the top of the temple. Borobudur temple was built at Budur Village, Magelang, Jawa Tengah by Syailendra Dynasty. Borobudur Temple is the biggest temple in the world. It has 504 statues and 1.400 reliefs. From the top of the temple we can see such beautiful scenery. I and my friends went around the temple together. Finally, after having some visits, we should go to the hotel to stay and continue our study tour the next day.

To reach the waterfall location, we should go on foot after having around three hours trip riding a motorcycle from Bandarlampung, the capital city of Lampung. When we arrived there, I was amazed by the beautiful scenery of the waterfall. The air was so fresh at that time and I could not bear to jump into the water immediately. It is quite windy there and all I could see only green, green, and green. Hearing the sound of falling water while we were swimming made me feel peaceful and relaxing.

Finally, the day was getting dark and it was time for us to go home. It was such an unforgettable experience for me. I really enjoyed it.

The next week, we prepared everything needed in the morning. We brought some foods and beverages, such as chocolate wafers, potato chips, water and orange juice. Before going to the beach, I ask our brother, Bayu, to join us. He agreed to join and we went there together with our parents. We went there by car. It took 3 hours to arrive there. Then, we bought tickets in the entrance gate. Before swimming, we changed our clothes first. We swam there for more than one hour. We felt so tired that we decided to eat the foods that we had brought. Next, three of us created a very big sand castle, while my parents were enjoying the beautiful scenery there. After that, we decided to go home because it was getting dark.

On the way home, we still felt hungry. So we stopped at a restaurant to have dinner. I ordered sruit, Lampungnese traditional food, while my brother, my sister, and my parents ordered fried rice. After finished eating, we paid our bills. Then, we went home. We arrived at home at 9 o’clock. We were tired but we were absolutely happy.

I didn’t celebrate the Chinese New Year as I’m not Chinese but I guessed that it was a good time for me to get full refreshing. I was so tired to studying. However, the unpredictable fact broke everything up.

First like an ordinary daughter, I had to get up early morning to help my mother, of course after I prayed. Then I did the dishes, cleaned up my room, and did my bed. I was really in danger if my mom knew that my room was messy. So, I made it as soon as possible. After finishing everything, my aunts called me in the afternoon. I did not meet them for a long time so we kept for hours to talk about some up to date gossips. Not long after that, my neighbor who is also my schoolmate visited me. She asked my help to finish her homework. At last, the time was running and the homework was successfully finished. An unpredictable moment happened after that. To my surprised, I just remembered that I had a lot of homework too. I got confused and regretful why I did not check it. As the consequence, I did my homework until late night and it was hardly finished. Since then, I always check my home work before having a holiday.

I did not feel this was holiday instead of I had to work hard and got a long ship with my homework.

    Dalam pengabdian tanpa harga
Akan maukah kita duduk satu meja

I persuaded my father to teach me to ride " Honda 75 ". Firstly, my father refused my request and promised that he would teach me two or three years later, but I still whimpered. Finally, my father surrendered and promised to teach me.

He began to teach me riding the motorcycle around a field in my village. My father was very patient to give me some directions. I was very happy when I realized my ability to ride a motorcycle. " Yes, I can ".

One day later, when I was alone at home, I intended to try my riding ability. So, myself tried bravely. All ran fluently in the beginning, but when I was going back to my home and I passed through a narrow slippery street, I got nervous. I lost my control and I fell to the ditch.

After that, I told my father about the last accident. I imagined my father would be angry and never let me ride again. But the reality is exactly on the contrary, my father was very proud of me. He just gave me some advices and since that accident, I got my father's permission to ride motorcycle.

It was takbiran night. It was also my birthday, and nothing happened. Or I had thought nothing would happen, but I was wrong.

That night, I was watching television with my family when I heard someone lit fireworks in my front yard. I peeped through my window glass but could see nothing. It was very dark outside. Then I thought it had to be my cousins who lit the fireworks. Then I plopped down on my sofa again and tried to concentrate on the television since my mind raced with disappointment that no one gave something special on my birthday.

I shrugged, it was almost the end of the day and I became pessimist. Five minutes later my mobile beeped. It was a text from my friend asking me to come out. Wondering what was going on, I grabbed my jacket and hurried to the front door. I was surprised to see her bring a bag full of firework and fire drills. Next I was surprised to see my other friend come out from the darkness. She brought a beautiful birthday cake on her hands. Oh my God! I shrieked. Then they gave the cake to me who was too stunned to say anything. I realized I was blushing furiously because my whole family was watching. Not to mention my neighbors too!

A plain day, or I thought it was before, turned out to be one of the greatest moment in my life. I didn’t even know how to describe what I felt. Happy was the simplest word.

    Lazy Jack

boy-carrying-a-donkeyOnce upon a time, in a small village, a lazy boy called Jack lived with his mother. He was so lazy that he found it very difficult to move even his fingers. His mother worked as a servant maid in town homes and earned for herself and her son. People started to call him Lazy Jack and Jack’s mother was totally irritated and worried about her son.

One day, she fell sick and was feeling fever severely. She was bed-ridden for two days and could not go to work. She asked her son to earn something for them; otherwise there won’t be anything to eat.

Lazy Jack finally understood her mother’s health and their poverty. He promised her mother to bring something and went on to search for a work.

A farmer offered him work in his land and paid two pennies for Jack’s work.
Jack thanked him and rushed to home with the pennies in hand. As he was running to home, he did not notice the pennies rolled down from his hand. He could not find the coins and reached home with unhappy face.

He told the incident to his mom. Jack’s mom told him, ‘dear Jack, next time, you put them in your pocket, so that they won’t fall!’

The next day, a milkman offered Jack a job. Jack was offered a jar of milk as wages for his work. As told by his mother, he poured the milk into his pocket and ran towards his mom.

His mom recognized what would have happened after seeing Jack’s dress. She told him,’ Jack, you should have carried the milk jar on your head. Don’t worry. But be careful next time!’

Next time also Jack worked for the milkman and he went to the milkman’s farm early in the morning. The work got completed before the noon and Jack was paid a bar of cheese for his work. Jack was happy and as told by his mother, he carried the cheese bar on his head. Since it was a sunny day and very hot in the noon, all the cheese melted away.

Jack told his mom that all cheese melted. His mother told, he should have carried the cheese in his hands and asked him to do correctly next time.

The next day, he went to work in cattle. The owner of the cattle farm offered him a little kitten for him towards wages as Jack liked the kitten very much. He carried the kitten on his hands. The little kitten jumped from his hands and ran away. Jack was sad and told his mother he lost the kitten too. His mom told, he should have tied a rope and dragged the kitten on the road.

For the next two days, he went to work in a farm again and returned home with a huge piece of meat. He tied the meat with a rope and dragged it on the road. The meat was spoiled and his mom shouted at him as he could not do anything properly.

Later sometime, she consoled him and told him that he should have carried the meat on his shoulders. Jack went to nearby town for work and returned home after a week. For his hard work, he was rewarded with a donkey and he carried the donkey on his shoulders.
A young girl around 8 years of age who saw Jack carrying the donkey on shoulders started to laugh and she laughed continuously for long time. Her dad, who was the richest person in the town, was so happy and was in tears. He thanked Jack as he made her daughter laugh after 5 years. Jack realized his mistakes and foolishness he done then and before. But at the same time his foolishness made that rich man’s daughter laugh. He took the rich man and his daughter to his home. The rich man offered them work and shelter in his bungalow. From that incident, he tried to do everything properly without any mistakes and foolishness and they lived happily ever after!

A narrative is a meaningful sequence of events told in words. It is sequential in that the events are ordered, not merely random. Sequence always involves an arrangement in time (and usually other arrangements as well). A straightforward movement from the first event to the last constitutes the simplest chronology. However, chronology is sometimes complicated by presenting the events in another order: for example, a story may open with the final episode and then flash back to all that preceded it.
A narrative has meaning in that it conveys an evaluation of some kind. The writer reacts to the story he or she tells, and states or implies that reaction. This is the "meaning," sometimes called the "theme," of a story. Meaning must always be rendered. The writer has to do more than tell us the truth he sees in the story; he must manifest that truth in the characters and the action.
Characters and action are the essential elements of any story. Also important, but not as essential, is the setting, the place where the action occurs. Characters are usually people—sometimes actual people, as in history books or newspaper stories, sometimes imaginary ones, as in novels. Occasionally characters are animals (as in an Aesop fable), and sometimes a dominant feature of the environment functions almost like a character (the sea, an old house).
The action is what the characters say and do and anything that happens to them, even if it arises from a nonhuman source—a storm, for instance, or a fire. Action is often presented in the form of a plot. Action is, so to speak, the raw material; plot, the finished product, the fitting together of the bits and pieces of action into a coherent pattern. Usually, though not invariably, plot takes the form of a cause-and effect chain: event A produces event B; B leads to C; C to D; and so on until the final episode, X. In a well-constructed plot of this kind we can work back from X to A and see the connections that made the end of the story likely and perhaps inevitable.
Stories can be very long and complicated, with many characters, elaborate plots, and subtle interpenetration of character, action, and setting. In writing that is primarily expository, however, narratives are shorter and simpler. Most often they are factual rather than imaginary, as when an historian describes an event. And often in exposition an illustration may involve a simple narrative. Being able to tell a story, then, while not the primary concern of the expository writer, is a skill which he or she will now and again be called upon to use.

  27. Once upon a time there was a prosperous village in a far away island called Sumatra. In northern part of the island, lived a farmer whose name was Toba. He lived alone in a hut by a small forest. He worked on his farmland to grow rice and vegetables that he sells to local market. Once day he wanted to catch some fish so he went to a river and fished there. He was very surprised when he got a big fish. The fish was as big as human being. Soon he went home and put the fish in his kitchen. He planned to cook the fish for his dinner that night. When he got to his house that afternoon he took a bath. Then as he walked into his bedroom after taking a bath Toba was very shocked. Do you want to know what happened?
There stood in his living room a very beautiful girl. The girl greeted him nicely. For a moment Toba was speechless. When he could control his emotion he asked her.
‘Who are you? What’s your name? Why suddenly you are here in my house?’
‘Pardon me if I surprised you Mr. Toba, but you took me here. I was the fish that you caught in the river. Now that I become a human being again, I would like to thank you and I will be your servant to express my thankfulness’
    ‘Were you the fish?’
‘Yes, I was the fish. Look at your kitchen’.
Toba immediately rushed to his kitchen and the fish was nowhere to be seen. He saw some gold coins instead.
‘Whose coins are these? Why there are some coins here?’
‘Those coins are mine. As I changed into human being my scales changed into gold coins’
‘Ok you can live here and work for me. Your room is over there’
‘Thank you very much Mr. Toba’
Since that day the beautiful girl lived in Toba’s house. Since she was very beautiful Toba fell in love with her and not long after that they got married. The girl married to Toba on one condition that he would never tell anybody about her past. Toba agreed to the condition. Several months later Toba’s wife delivered to a baby boy. Their son was healthy. Soon he grew up into a handsome boy. Toba named him Samosir. Unfortunately Samosir was a lazy boy. He did not want to work at all. When his father worked hard in his rice field and farm, Samosir just slept. When he was awake he talked a lot and he ate a lot. Toba was very disappointed with his son’s nature. He hoped that one day Samosir would change into a diligent boy. Day in and day out but Samosir never changed.
Toba used to go to his farm and rice field early in the morning. Then at midday his wife would bring him food. They used to eat lunch at their farm. As he was a teenager Toba and his wife tried to change his behavior. They ordered Samosir to bring food for his father for lunch while her mother stayed at home to do household chores. But Samosir never did his duty well. He always woke up very late. He woke up after midday. Then one day his mother forced him to bring the food.
‘Sam, wake up. Go to the farm and bring the food for your father. He must be very tired and hungry now’.
But Mom, I am tired and hungry too’
‘What makes you tired? You just wake up. Go now. You father needs the food’
Toba reluctantly went to the farm. But he did not go to the farm immediately. He stopped somewhere in the street and ate the food. It was already late afternoon when he got to the farm. His father was disappointed. Then he was angry as he realized that his son had eaten his food. He said sarcastically.
‘O, you are stupid lazy boy. You are son of a fish!’
Samosir was hurt. He went home right away and as he got home he told his mother about his father’s words. Samosir’s mother was shocked. She was also deeply hurt.
‘O Toba. You break your promise so I cannot live with you here anymore. Now you have to accept to consequence of what you did. Samosir, now go to the hill, find the tallest tree and climb it’

‘Just do it, never ask any question. Good bye’
As soon as she finished saying that suddenly the weather changed. Sunny day suddenly turned into cloudy day. Not long after that the rain poured heavily. The rain last for several days. Consequently the area was flooded. The whole area became a big lake. Then it was called Lake Toba and in the middle of the lake there is an island called Samosir Island. Meanwhile Toba’s wife disappeared.
Lake Toba is located in the province of North Sumatra, Indonesia. Today it becomes a tourist destination.
Once, in a rural village next to Lake Toba North Sumatera, there lived a husband and a wife with a beautiful daughter named Seruni. Not only was she beautiful, Seruni was also very diligent in helping her parents in the field. Every day this family worked in this field on the edge of Lake Toba, and the outcomes are used for their daily needs.
One day, Seruni went to the field alone, because his parents went to a neighboring village. Seruni was only accompanied by her beloved dog named Toki's. Arriving at the farm, she didn’t work but he just sat there looking at the natural beauty of Lake Toba as if she had solved a difficult problem. While the dog, the Toki, came sitting next to her, staring at her face as if he knew what Seruni thought. Once in a while the dog barked to distract Seruni, but she is not teased.
The last few days Seruni looked glum. He was very sad, because she was given in marriage by her parents with a young man who was his cousin. Though she had chosen his loved man and she had promised to live together with him. She was very confused. On the one hand she did not want to disappoint her parents, and she could not afford to part with her love. Because of being unable to bear the heavy burden, he was getting hopeless.
"Yes, Lord! I am not able to live with this burden, "complained the Seruni.
A few moments later, Seruni moved from his seat. With tears, she walked slowly toward the Lake Toba. Apparently she wanted to end his life by jumping into the lake's and the Toki, followed his master from behind while barking.
With a mind raging, Seruni walked toward the cliffs of Lake Toba without paying attention to the road in its path. Unexpectedly, she suddenly fell into a hole. The rocky ground that made the hole was getting dark. Seruni girl is very scared.
"Help.. Help.. Help.., Toki! "Seruni voice asking for help to her beloved dog.
The Toki understood if Seruni required his help, but he could not do anything except just barking at the hole. Seruni screamed several times for help, but the Toki really could not afford helping her. Finally she was getting desperate.
"Ah, I'd rather die than live a long time to suffer," Seruni resigned.
Rock walls were moving ever closer.
"Parapat...! Parapat Parapat ... "ordered Seruni to press her body withthe stone
Being unable to help Seruni, Toki immediately ran home to ask for help.
Arriving at the master's house, he immediately went to Seruni parents.
"Auggg ...! auggg ...! auggg ... "Toki's barking while clawing at the ground to tell the parents that the Seruni in danger.
"Toki ..., where is Seruni? What happened to her? "Asked the father to the dog's Seruni.
"Auggg ...! auggg ...! auggg ...! "he continued barking and ran back and forth to invite them to a place.
"Sir, it looks like Seruni in danger," said the mother of Seruni.
"Mom was right. The Toki invites us to follow, "said the father of Seruni.
"But how do we get there? "Said the mother.
"You prepare a torch! I'll be looking for help to neighbors, "cried the father.
Soon, the whole neighborhood had gathered at the home page Seruni's father, carrying the torch. After that they followed the Toki to the scene. Once they were in the field, the Toki directly toward the mouth of the hole.

"Yes, ma'am! That sounds Seruni! "Replied the father panic.
"But, why would he shout: Parapat, parapatlah stone?" Asked the mother.
"I do not know, mom! It seems like there's something wrong in there, "said the father anxiously.
A Farmer was trying to light up the hole with a torch, but the bottom of the hole was so deep that it can not be penetrated by torchlight.
"Seruniii ...! Seruniii ...! "Cried the father of Seruni.
"Seruni ... my daughter! The mother and father came to help you! "Her mother shouted.

Seruni's father and mother and all the people ran thither to escape. They left the mouth of the hole the rock, so that poor Seruni could not be rescued from the crush of rock.
Some time after the earthquake stopped, suddenly appeared a large rock that resembles a girl's body and as if hanging on the wall of the cliff at the edge of Lake Toba. The seven angels were swimming and taking a bath in a lake. Joko Tarup looked at them while hiding behind trees. When they had finished taking a bath, they flew through the rainbow to heaven.
The next day he saw the same thing again. This time Joko Tarup had an idea. He searched for their dress and when he found them he took one of them. As they had finished swimming and taking a bath, they looked for their dress. One of them could not find her dress. Her friends had to come back to heaven so they left her. She was crying while staying in the water. Joko Tarup approached her.
    ‘Why are you crying lady?’
‘I lose my dress so I cannot go home’
    ‘Where is your home?’
‘I live in heaven. I’m an angel. My name is Nawang Wulan. But I lose my dress so I cannot fly anymore’

But there was one condition. The bowl must not be opened before it has done. Joko Tarup was very surprised with her wife’s ability. He was very curious about it. So when Nawang Wulan was away he opened the bowl. Consequently Nawang’s spiritual power disappeared. She had to cook as ordinary human being.
Several months later Nawang Wulan gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Her name was Nawang Sih. The birth of Nawang Sih added happiness to Joko Tarup and Nawang Wulan.
Since Nawang Wulan could not cook efficiently anymore, she needed more rice than usual. The stock of rice in their store room diminished rapidly. Then one day when she took rice there she was very surprised. Nawang Wulan found her angel dress. It was hidden there under piles of rice. She immediately wore it and talked to Joko Tarup.
‘My dear husband, now I know what you did to me’
‘Forgive me, my dear. I admit that I did this because I love you’
‘I love you too. But now I find my dress. I must come back to heaven. I am an angel. My place is not here. I have to go now’.
‘How about Nawang Sih? She needs you’
‘I will leave her but don’t worry. I will take care of her. Anytime she needs me I will be here. For that purpose please build a tower. When Nawang Sih cries put her there then call my name. I will come immediately. But I will be invisible to you. Good bye dear’
Then Joko Tarup built a tower behind his house. Every time Nawang Sih cried he would put her there. Nawang Wulan would come and take care of Nawang Sih.ore the hole was closed, a voice: "... Parapat Parapat parapat stone ...!"

  32. A long long time ago in the island of Java there was a kingdom of Medang Kamulan. The land of Java was very fertile and productive. Most of the island of Java are arable. And water are abundant. Java was very rich with plants. They had almost all fruits in the world. All year long the weather is always sunny. As a result farmers can grow any kinds of fruits, vegetable and all kinds of plant all year long. The land of Java was also very rich with gold and many kinds of mineral. Many people earned their living by working on gold mine. Since Java was also rich with mine they also made weapons like sword, lance, trident etc. They sold those weapons to China, India and many other countries. But if you think that the Javanese people were prosperous you are wrong.
At the time Java was ruled by a monster. His name was King Dewata Cengkar. He was a very cruel king. He ordered his people to pay tax on everything they had. Farmers had to pay tax on their land. Merchant had to pay high tax for their profit. Workers had to pay tax on their salary and wages. Even poor people had to pay tax. And if they had no money to pay tax then they had to work for the king without any payment. The money was not for the welfare of the people for for the king’s private matters. Worse still, the king’s official were very corrupt. When they took one hundred from the people then they gave only eighty for the king. They took it for themselves. As a result the king was very very rich while his people were very poor. Besides that the king also like to eat the flesh of human being! This habit started when he was a child. One day his mother made a mistake while she was cooking. She accidentally cut her thumb and blood spit on the food. Her maid then continue cooking without knowing that blood and a small piece of her mother’s flesh was in the food. When Dewata Cengkar ate the food he really like it. Then he found out the reason. Since that day he demanded the flesh of human being as part of his food. So his army killed people every day for his food. When he was adult and became king this habit grew. He ordered every chief of a district to sacrifice young and healthy people for the king to consume. Consequently the people of Java diminished. The people were restless but they did not dare to rebel because the king was very cruel and his army was very strong.
Until one day someone named Aji Saka came to Java. He had two guards. Their name were Dora and Sembada. Before coming to Java they landed in a small island in the north of Java, called Pulau Majeti. After several days there Aji Saka decided to go to Java. Aji Saka left his weapon, a powerful traditional dagger called Kris there. He told Dora to stay in the island of Majeti to guard his Kris. And he told Dora not to give it to any body else. After that he went to Java with Sembada.
Then he settled in Java as a merchant. The people of Java told him about his sorrow because of Dewata Cengkar’s cruelty and injustice rule. Aji Saka was very concerned to the sorrow of Javanese people. He told the chief of the district where he settled to send him as sacrifice when the king wanted to eat people. So the chief send him to king Dewata Cengkar.
As his turn came to became sacrifice, Aji Saka asked to say his last words to the king. The king granted him opportunity to speak.
‘O, great king of Java. The father of development of Java. The one who make people live prosperous life. The richest man in the world. I am honored to demand your Majesty one last wish before I die’
    ‘Tell me what you want’
“Your Majesty the great king of Java, I just want a piece of land, the same size as my turban’
‘I grant it. Just spread your turban’

  33. “Your Majesty the great king of Java, I just want a piece of land, the same size as my turban’
‘I grant it. Just spread your turban’
Then Aji Saka put off his turban and put it on the ground. Aji Saka hold one side of it and asked the king to hold the other side. Amazingly it became larger so Dewata Cengkar had to step back. And everytime it became larger and larger so Dewata Cengkar finally stood at a beach. Aji Saka kincked him to the sea and and he died. The Javanese people were very happy to hear the cruel king had died. They were very thankful to Aji Saka and elected him as the new king of Java.
Aji Saka remembered that one of his guard, Dora was still in the island of Majeti. As he was a king, it was impossible for him to go there. So he told Sembada to go there and bring his kris back. So Sembada went to Majeti island. As he got there he told Dora that Aji Saka asked him to take the kris.
‘His Majesty King Aji Saka ordered me to take the kris to Java’
‘Maybe you make mistake. Aji Saka is our superiot but he is not a king. And he told me not to give his kris to any boldy else. It is my duty to guard it here until he came back and take it’
‘It is my duty to take the kris’.
‘It is my duty to guard it’
The dialogue came to a dead lock so the tension grew. Then it became on armed conflict. Finally both of them were killed. Several days later Aji Saka was shocked to hear the news that they both died. Since that day he created an alphabet, a Javanese alphabeth based on their story. Here is the alphabeth. It is like a poem. The poem consist of four lines. Each line consist of one sentence. Each sentence consist of a combination of characters. All characters are pronounced like hall. Here is the poem.
    Ho (h) , No (n), co (c), ro (r) ko (k).
    Do (d) to (t) so (s) wo (w) lo (l)
Po (p) do (d) jo (j) yo (y) nyo (ny)
Mo (m) go (g) bo (b) to (t) ngo (ng)
Hono = there is / there are in English, coroko = envoy
Do to so wolo = bring a letter / matter
Po do jo yo nyo = they are equally powerful
Mogo botongo = they are killed.
These characters are used widely by the Javanese, Sundanese, Balinese and Madurese. But today only very few people can read it. That’s why in the province of Yogyakarta it is taught at schools.

  34. Inside the northern chamber Shiva temple in Prambanan temple in Central Java, Indonesia, there is a stone statue of a beautiful woman. She stands on a bull. She wears a crown and jewelry. Her body is slim. Who is she? There is no doubt that she is Durga Mahisasuramardini, a Hindu goddess. But the Javanese people have their own story about her. Here is the story.
A long long time ago in central Java lived a wise king. His name was Prabu Boko. He had a beautiful daughter whose name was Roro Jonggrang. They lived in a palace on top of a hill. At present we can visit the ruins of the palace that is located about two miles south of Prambanan temple. The palace is called kraton Boko. His country was so prosperous that another king was jealous.
There was a neighboring kingdom under king Bandung Bondowoso. One day king Bandung attacked Prabu Boko. In a fierce fight King Boko was killed and his kingdom was conquered. The young Bandung Bondowoso fell in love with Roro Jonggrang when he saw her beauty. He wanted to marry her so he proposed her. But Roro Jonggrang definitely did not want to marry someone who had murdered her father. So she gave a difficult condition.
She told Bandung that she would marry him if he could build one thousand temples in one night. Bandung was surprised but he was optimistic he could meet the condition. He was a powerful king and he had many friends among the genie and spirits. So he asked them for help. With the help of those invisible beings Bandung built the temples.
Meanwhile Roro Jonggrang and her people kept an eye on Bandung. When it was almost dawn Bandung and the genie had built nine hundred ninety nine temples. Roro Jonggrang was very worried. If Bandung could meet her condition, she had to marry him. Then she had a bright idea. She ordered her people to make noise and lights. Women were ordered to cook and make noise by hitting kitchen utensils. Men were also ordered to make noise around the temples. Then the genie thought that daylight had come. They were afraid of the sunlight so they left immediately. Without their help Bandung was unable to finish the temple.
Bandung was very angry. He knew that it was a dirty trick from Roro Jonggrang. Then he cursed Roro Jonggrang into a statue. The statue of Roro Jonggrang is now inside the northern chamber of the main temple which was dedicated to Shiva in Prambanan temple.

  35. The kingdom of Majapahit was at its peak in the 13th century. The wise king who ruled was King Hayam Wuruk. He was young, intelligent, and brave. He had a smart prime minister, his name was Gajah Mada. Besides that, he had smart and young aides and ministers. Under Hayam Wuruk Majapahit ruled over most of the present day Indonesia. Majapahit was very prosperous.
The palace of Majapahit was very big. It was very luxurious. Inside of the palace there is a special building called ‘Gedong Pusaka’. It was a house or more precisely a luxurious warehouse to store all the treasure of the kingdom. There were jewelries, gold crown, earrings, gold coins, gold Kris and many other luxurious things. That’s why the building was heavily guarded. There was a high wall surrounding it. Inside and outside the wall soldiers were on duty twenty four hours a day. All of them were fully armed. It was almost impossible for anyone at that time to get into the Gedong Pusaka.
One night the situation in the palace was very different. There was a thick, very thick fog surrounding the whole palace, even the capital. The temperature which usually warm was cool. This situation was very rare in Majapahit. The Javanese people (the people of Majapahit) interpreted this strange phenomenon as a signal from god. They were sure that a great event would take place.
King Hayam Wuruk immediately called Gajah Mada. After a shirt discussion they decided to call the army generals. The king told the generals to put the army in the highest alert. Soon they ordered all of their boys in highest alert. The number of soldier who guarded the palace was doubled. The king and the prime minister stay awoke until midnight. Every hour they received report that everything was OK. The night was very quiet. So at midnight the king and Gajah Mada were asleep.
But when it was almost dawn something happened. A group of soldier who guarded the front gate of Gedong Pusaka reported to the army general that the door of Gedong Pusaka was opened. When they checked inside they found that the collection of gold coins was missing. The army chief immediately reported the event to Prime Minister Gajah Mada.
Gajah Mada immediately ordered that the commander of the guard was arrested. Without waiting for the sun to arise he questioned the commander. Gajah Mada thought that the commander was the one responsible for the lost of the cold coins. But the commander refused. He was sure that someone else did the wrong doing. When the king woke up Gajah Mada reported to him. But the king was silent.
The following night the situation was very different. The sky was clear and the temperature was warm. Although tension had diminished Gajah Mada ordered the army to stay in highest alert. That time the king was ignorant. The night was very serene. Suddenly at midnight the soldiers who guarded at the front gate of Gedong Pusaka was shocked when they saw someone ran very fast from it. Soon they chased him. But he ran very fast and soon the soldiers lost him. However they could see that he ran toward the king’s compound.
Their commander soon reported to Gajah Mada who immediately came. He ordered the soldiers to siege the king’s compound. He also ordered more soldiers to surround it. Amazingly the king’s compound was covered with cloud. Nobody saw where it came from but suddenly thick cloud surrounded it. The fog was so thick that nobody could see the king’s compound. The cloud even grew larger that finally the whole palace was covered by cloud.
The next morning the people of Majapahit was shocked to see the strange phenomenon. The sky was clear and the sun was shining bright but the palace was covered by cloud. No one could see it. The king never came out of the palace.
Soon rumors spread that the thief was hiding inside the king’s compound in the palace. The army kept surrounding it. They cried to tell the thief to surrender. Suddenly someone threw stones to the soldiers. Some of them were hurt. Then Gajah Mada got in to see the king.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Then Gajah Mada got in to see the king. When he came from inside the palace he told soldiers that the king was all right and that the thief was not there. After that rumor spread that the thief was ghost, not human being. Months later the mystery thief had not arrested and the palace was still cloudy. Years later the thief remained a mystery and he palace remained cloudy. Majapahit suffered from a great loss. It was a serious blow to the economy. Several years later the kingdom of Majapahit collapsed.
Today territory of Majapahit becomes Indonesia. People miss the glory of Majapahit. They are dreaming that the glorious Majapahit will return someday.
A STARVING BOY went wearily from village to village. His name was Dongso and he had been dismissed by a rich widow for whom he had worked, because the harvest had been so poor.
The widow was known throughout the land as the owner of the most fruitful acres, but after Dongso had come the harvest had been so meager that he alone ate more rice than the fields produced. It happened not once, but twice. The widow herself had seen how well Dongso had prepared the sawah and tended the young rice shoots, but when they had grown tall and ready to be harvested, the stalks were empty of kernels and hung limp in the sun.
After the second harvest, the village people began to whisper that the young man might be a bad spirit. Perhaps he had been sent to earth by Allah to punish the widow because she was so stingy and made such meager offerings to the village-spirit and the sawah-spirit.
The widow, of course, heard these whisperings, and in anger she dismissed Dongso, without paying him.
Weak with hunger Dongso came one evening to the outskirts of a village and knocked at the door of the first house he saw. It was a little hut in the midst of a small sawah owned by a poor old woman, Randa Derma. When Dongso knocked, she opened the door to him and he fell across the threshold.
"Please," he said feebly, "give me a handful of rice. I am starving."
"Why do you have to beg?" she asked him. "You look strong and you are young. Why don't you earn your rice? Why don't you work for your food?'*
But she was a goodhearted woman and she pulled her unexpected guest into the room without waiting for his answer. She set rice and coffee in front of him. "Eat and drink, my son/' she said. "And then tell me why you beg rather than
    work."
The boy began to eat without a word, trying to make up for the many days he had gone hungry. When at last he was satisfied, he told the old woman his story. "I did my best/' he said. "I worked hard all the time I took care of the widow's sawahs. And truly I could not help it, it was not my fault, that the ears were almost always empty. I think," he said slowly, "it was because she did not make offerings to the protecting spirits and they were punishing her. And how could I force them to make the ears full of grain?"
"No, of course you couldn't/' the old woman agreed. "But if you will stay with me and work my little sawah, I will give you one fifth of the harvest yield. The trouble is, I have no buffalo. But the field isn't very big. . . ."
"It won't matter/' Dongso said. His eyes shone with gratitude for her offer. "I'll do my best for you."
Early the next morning, he started for the sawah, with only a spade. He turned the earth as if he had a fine plow and a strong buffalo working for him. When the time came for the sowing he did that, too, with speed and skill. Now he must wait with patience for the ripening. Then he would be able to harvest full, fine ears of rice! It was almost as if his wishes were coming true, for the rice stalks grew tall and straight, and the ears turned a beautiful golden yellow.

    The Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower is an iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris. Built in 1889, it has become both a global icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. The tower is the tallest building in Paris and the most-visited paid monument in the world; millions of people ascend it every year. Named for its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel, the tower was built as the entrance arch to the 1889 World's Fair.

The tower stands 324 metres (1,063 ft) tall, about the same height as an 81-story building. Upon its completion, it surpassed the Washington Monument to assume the title of tallest man-made structure in the world, a title it held for 41 years, until the Chrysler Building in New York City was built in 1930; however, due to the addition in 1957 of the antenna, the tower is now taller than the Chrysler Building. Not including broadcast antennas, it is the second-tallest structure in France after the 2004 Millau Viaduct.

The tower has three levels for visitors. Tickets can be purchased to ascend, by stairs or lift, to the first and second levels. The walk to the first level is over 300 steps, as is the walk from the first to the second level. The third and highest level is accessible only by elevator. Both the first and second levels feature restaurants.

The tower has become the most prominent symbol of both Paris and France, often in the establishing shot of films set in the city.

I have a favorite motorcycle. My father bought it for me when I was in Senior High School. This is the only motorcycle that I have right now, but even if one day I buy another one, this one will always be my favorite, because there are so many thing happened with me and this motorcycle. For me, it is irreplaceable.

The type of my favorite motorcycle is underbones. If you are familiar with various types of motorcycles, then I believe you can imagine what my motorcycle looks like. The dominant color of my motorcycle is red. It has spoke wheels type of rim and standard tire. The original rearview mirror was broken and I replace it with a smaller one. Last year I replace the original shock absorber with the new one. The color of the new shock absorber is black. A very distinctive part of my motorcycle is the seat. It is because I modified it a little bit from the original shape. The seat of my motorcycle is so long so it can accommodate two person. I decided to add some foam rubber on it, start from the middle part of the seat up to the back part. It makes the back part of the seat to be higher than the front part and cause a border which separated the driver's seat and the passenger's seat.

When I was in Junior High School, my mother bought me an acoustic guitar. It was my first guitar. I learned some basic guitar chord with it. It accompanied me since I was a beginner who know nothing about guitar, until I managed to improve my skill to a better level. Even though I have another guitar right now, but this one is still my favorite. The sound produced by it is still as clear as it was. its classic and simple design is just irreplaceable.

My favorite acoustic guitar is mainly made of mahogany wood. It is a steel-string type of acoustic guitar. Three different colour were used to cover the major parts of the guitar. The colour of the front side is peach with wooden fiber pattern which intentionally designed to be clearly visible with our eye. The colour of the back side is black, and the colour of the edges is dark brown. The neck of the guitar was painted in black, but the headstock is dark brown. The tuning pegs or tuning keys are made of white plastic and is attached to the headstock, three on the top side and three on the bottom side. There is a part called "nut" placed between the neck and the headstock. It is made of white plastic too. The fret of the guitar is mainly made of copper. There is only one sound hole on my guitar and it is located at the end part of the neck. The bridge, where the end part of the strings were attached, is made of wood and is painted in black.

I got my laptop in the first year of college. It was a gift from my father to me. But, since my father live far away from my campus, so my father sent the money to my cousin and ask him to get it for me. I was very happy because it was my first laptop. I do a lot of things with it such as watch movie, play games, listen to my favorite songs and I also use it to complete my college assignment. It was very reliable, it is like every time I need it, it will always be there for me.

The colour of my laptop is black. Just like any other laptop with an old style, the screen of my laptop is joined to the body by using hinges, so it cannot be separated. The border of the screen is made of black plastic. There is a web cam planted in the screen framework, it is located at the top-middle side of the screen. The screen is 14 inch wide. The screen and its skeleton thickness is about 0.8 centimeters. The thickness of the body is about 2.2 centimeters, so when we combine the thickness of the screen and the body, the overall thickness of my laptop is about 3 centimeters. So you can imagine now that my laptop is thick and heavy.

The body of my laptop contains the CPU. On the top side of the body, there is a power button located on the top-left side. In line with the power button is the speaker of my laptop. After that, we will also see the keyboard of the laptop occupying the top side of the body. The colour of the keyboard is also black. There is also a touchpad located right under the keyboard. Some important parts were attached into the side framework of the body, such as DVD room, USB port, power jack, projector port, ventilation system, land line port, and also HDMI port just in case I want to connect my laptop to TV.

I have a favorite book. It is not actually a book, but a set of novels. The story is about a magical world and dragons, my favorite mythical creature. My sister bought it for me when she went to England last year to finish her research. My sister gave it to me because she knew that I love story about dragons. I was very happy to get it. I put it next to my old collection in the cabinet.

My favorite set of novels consist of four thick novels. Each of it contains 500 to 600 pages. The text is in English, sometimes I have to open my dictionary to check the meaning of some words. The book cover is made of leather. The colour of the leather is different for each book, there are brown, light brown, yellow, and red leather. The title of each book is written on the left side and on the front side of the novel. There is also a box specially designed to keep all the novels. This box is covered by green leather.

I always fall in love with basketball shoes. It is not because I like to play basketball, I just feel comfort and confidence with it. At that moment, when I came to the store with my father, I try a couple of shoes, and when I put this one on me, I knew it right away that this is my favorite shoes.

The colour of my favorite shoes is black. There are two gray stripes on the outer side of the shoes. The colour of the sole is white with some circular pattern painted in black on the bottom of it. The surface of the sole is flat, which means this shoes has no heel. The shoes has white shoelace and two straps binding the eyestay of the shoes. It makes the tongue of the shoes always in steady position. The insole is made of foam rubber and the colour is red. It is very soft and comfortable.

  40. 158 I like something mostly because of it is simple. The same reason makes me love this backpack. It is not only simple because we can put the bag on my back, but also because it has a wide space in it that I can almost bring anything I need with only one bag. I bought this bag myself five years ago, and it is still usable until now. Its durability is unquestionable.

The colour of my favorite bag is black. It is made of thick cotton. The backpack is divided into three pouch, the big pouch, the average pouch, and the small pouch. Each of it has its own zipper. The small pouch is a little bit different from the other, because it is covered by rubber. The small pouch is where I usually keep my flash drive, car's key, and pen. I will tell you a secret, if you saw my bag from the front side, you will only see two pouch, it is because the big pouch is not accessible from the front side, the zipper is hidden on the back side of the bag and it can only be accessed if I take off the bag from my back, it is very tricky, right? I decorated my bag with fake ant and fake spider by sticking them on it.

I used to work as an English Club trainer. When I received my first salary, I decided to buy a watch from an online shop. There are plenty of choices available on the online shop, but my eye just couldn't move from this one. I like the design, for me it is elegant and sporty. Plus I will get discount if I buy this item. I completed the order and transferred the money, and then I wait for three days. When the watch arrive at my house, I try to put it on, and I love it so much. I still use it until today, it is my favorite watch.

My favorite watch is a digital watch. The digital screen is not only showing the time, but also day, date and year, time location, and also the digital version of analog watch. The brand of the watch is written on the top of the screen. The shape of the watch and its framework is circle, with four setting button around it, two on the right side and two on the left side. It is made of plastic, but the back cover is made of stainless steel. The colour is black. The strap is made of rubber and the colour is also black.

Now, I will tell you more about the feature or special function of the watch. The four button around the watch have their own function. The button on the right side are light button and search button. The light button is used to turn on the LED light inside the screen, by doing this we will be able to keep track of the time even in the dark. The search button is used to check the time difference based on the time location. The button on the left side are adjust button and mode button. The adjust button is used in time setting. The mode button is used to display some special function of the watch such as alarm, timer, and stop watch.

My sister is a K-Drama lover. One of her favorite drama is 49 days. In this drama, there is a very important necklace called "The tears", if you already know the drama, I believe you know how the necklace looks like. Ever since the drama became famous, a lot of online shop start to sell the replica of the necklace, and my sister bought one of it. It is her favorite necklace. She wears it every day until now.

The chain of my sister's favorite necklace is made of copper and the color is silver. The length of the chain is about 25 centimeters. There is no other decoration on it but a transparent pendant with the shape of a drop of tear hanging on the chain. The necklace is very simple yet very elegant and it is also easy to blend with any color and any style that my sister wear.

Weekend is my lazy day. I can sleep all day long and I can sleep anywhere. I can sleep on the couch, I can sleep on the floor, and I can also sleep on the carpet. But the most comfortable one is when I sleep on my bed with my favorite pillow. Actually, it is an ordinary bed pillow, but I've been using it for years, and this make the pillow able to adjust its thickness for my head and my neck perfectly, so I can get the best rest with it.

The color of my favorite pillow was clean white, but right now it is no longer as clean as it use to be, even the color look a lot more like gray than white. The skin of the pillow is made of cotton. It is filled with a typical kind of synthetic foam called Dacron, the similar substance use to fill dolls. The shape of the pillow is rectangle. The pillow is not as thick as it was, it is just like the content disappear slowly everyday. So when I want to use it, I am going to concentrate the dacron in the middle of the pillow and place my head on it, and the pillow will adjust itself automatically.

I love simplicity, this is the reason why I always wear the same style of clothes everyday. Wherever I go, I wear t-shirt, black jeans trousers and a jacket, most of the time. Recently, I realize that I have a favorite jacket and I really like to wear it. This jacket was a birthday present from my sister. She gave it to me a year ago. There is something I really like about this jacket, and now I am going to tell you what it is.

My favorite jacket is a hoodie with a zipper in the center of it. It is made of cotton. The color of the sleeves is black. There are two gray stripes encircling the arm muscle. The color of the hood is also black. But the color of the front and the back part are gray. There are two pockets on the front side, located right on my stomach. Something very special of this jacket is a wise word printed on it. The wise word is "Never Give Up", I like it so much because it always reminds me to keep going with my job as a writer, even if a lot of people doubt this idea. The text is printed on the chest of the jacket and the color is red.

I have a favorite wallet. My sister bought it for me four years ago in a bookstore. We got discount for it. She gave it to me because she knew that my old wallet was already broken. Until now the wallet is still in a good condition and I can still use it. I am very grateful that my sister gave it to me.

The type of my favorite wallet is long wallet. The length is about 21 centimeters. It is made of synthetic leather and the color is black. The design is simple and I like it. I can use it for any occasion. The outer side is fully decorated with small diagonal stripes. The brand and its logo is printed on the front side of the wallet. It only takes a small space on the right corner of the front side.

The inner side is full of pocket or space to keep cards and money. It is divided into two sides, the right side and the left side, each of it is divided into three layers of storage. The difference between the right and the left side is only on their first layer. The first layer is where we can keep important cards such as id card, credit card, atm card, driving license and any other important card. The first layer of the right side has a transparent pocket where we can put a photo of our family whereas the first layer of the left side doesn't have it. Both card holder on each side is positioned vertically. The second and the third layer of each side is where we can keep our money. It is positioned horizontally.

Do you like to wear a T-shirt? Well, I do. One of my favorite T-shirt is the one that I bought when I was in Senior High School six years ago. At that time, I won a Scrabble competition, and the prize is money. I bought the T-shirt with this money. I like it because it is very comfy.

The color of my favorite T-shirt is yellow. It is made of cotton. Right now, the color is not as bright as it used to be, but the picture printed on the front side is still as good as it was. It is a picture of a microphone known as "Elvis Microphone". The color of the picture is gray. The condition of the T-shirt is not as perfect as it was, because right now there are some holes on the T-shirt. One of the biggest hole is located on my back. My sister said that I look like a homeless boy every time I wear this T-shirt.

I love an antique bicycle, because of that I decided to join an old bike community called Onthel Lover. Last year I bought one from my friend. It took a while to clean it and fix it, but now I can use it to go out with my Onthel community. It may not be as good as a new bicycle, but I enjoy riding it. This is my favorite Onthel bicycle.

Most part of my Onthel bicycle is made of iron. It used to be rusty, but when I bought it, I clean every part of it and painted it in green. There are two seats available on this bicycle. The first is for the rider, it is made of plastic, but I add some foam rubber on it and covered it with leather. The second seat is for the passenger, it is made of iron. It has two wheels. The color of the tire is black. The handlebars and the brake lever is placed on each edge of the stem. The stem is not adjustable because this is an old style bicycle. I place a bicycle bell next to the right handlebar. There is also a lamp called as the headlight attached to the bike framework and it is placed right above the front wheel. It is operated by using a dynamo which relied on the movement of the wheel as its source of energy. I add a bottle hanger on the framework so that I can carry a bottle of water whenever I ride my bicycle. I also replace the old chain cover with a new one. It is made of plastic and the color is black.

Five years ago I fell in love to a car in a movie. Since that moment, I decided to earn a lot of money by working as a private investigator in Manhattan, USA. I managed to collect some money but it was still not enough to buy the car. I keep waiting until last year a giant automotive company launch a new product that look like my dream car but with a cheaper price. I bought it right away. I was very happy even if it is not the same car with the one I saw in the movie, but it is not so different. I think this one is my favorite car.

My favorite car is a city car with only one row of passenger seat. It is a small car but it is very comfortable. Let me tell you about the interior of the car. The passenger seat is made of polyester, an inexpensive but durable material. The color of the seat is black. I replace the driver's seat cover with genuine leather and the color is red. The steering wheel is positioned on the left side of the dashboard. The color of the steering wheel is black. There is an air bag in the steering wheel, it is located under the horn in the center of the steering wheel. I replace the gear shift with a racing style one. There is a race flag symbol on it. The air ventilation on the front dashboard are located on the left and the right side. In the middle of the dashboard there is a screen showing the picture from a camera located on the back bumper. It will help me to check the condition at the back of my car especially during the parking process.

The color of my car is blue with three black stripes on the roof and the hood. It has a small trunk on the back part of the body, this is where I keep some of my stuff such as utility box, spare clothes, some food and water and anything I need if I want to travel somewhere. I replace the original rims with sports rim. The color of the new rims is black. There is an antenna on the roof which help me to get a better signal for radio and smartphone. I also put a sticker of my favorite superhero on the left-front door.

  50. 29 baris Last year, at the end of the year, my wife and I decided to spend our holiday at Tanjung Setia beach, which located around 234 kilometers from Bandarlampung.

We felt so tired that we decided to eat the foods that we had brought. Next, three of us created a very big sand castle, while my parents were enjoying the beautiful scenery there. After that, we decided to go home because it was getting dark.

  69. time passed by. Sangkuriang on his journey stopped at a village and met and fell in love with a beautiful girl.He didnt realize that the village was his homeland and the beautiful girl was his own mother, Dayang Sumbi. Their love grew naturally and he asked the girl to marry him. One day, Sangkuriang was going on a hunt. He asked Dayang Sumbi to fix the turban on his head. Dayang Sumbi was startled when she saw a scar on his head at the same place where she, years ago, hit Sangkuriang on the head.
After the young man left, Dayang Sumbi prayed for guidance. After praying, she became convinced that the young man was indeed her missing son. She realized that she had to do something to prevent Sangkuriang from marrying her. But she did not wish to disappoint him by cancelling the wedding. So, although she agreed to marry Sangkuriang, she would do so only on the condition that he provides her with a lake and built a beautiful boat, all in one night.
Sangkuriang accepted this condition without a doubt. He had spent his youth studying magical arts. After the sun went down, Sangkuriang went to the hill. Then he called a group of genie to build a dam around Citarum River. Then, he commands the genies to cut down trees and build a boat. A few moments before dawn, Sangkuriang and his genie servants almost finished the boat.
Dayang Sumbi, who had been spying on him, realised that Sangkuriang would fulfill the condition she had set. Dayang Sumbi immediately woke all the women in the village and asked them to wave a long red scarf. All the women in the village were waving red scarf, making it look as if dawn was breaking. Deceived by false dawn, the cock crowed and farmers rose for the new day.
Sangkuriangs genie servants immediately dropped their work and ran for cover from the sun, which they feared. Sangkuriang grew furious. With all his anger, he kicked the unfinished boat. The boat flew and landed on a valley. The boat then became a mountain, called Mount Tangkuban Perahu (Tangkuban means upturned or upside down, and Perahu means boat). With his power, he destroyed the dam. The water drained from the lake becoming a wide plain and nowadays became a city called Bandung (from the word Bendung, which means Dam).

He said out loudly. “I will put in my leg and find out whether the water is warm or not” Of course the mouse deer did not do what he said. He did not put his leg but the mouse deer took a wood stick and put one end into the water. Blurrr…! Surely a crocodile grabbed the wood stick and pulled it underwater. Seeing that, the mouse deer laughed and said “Stupid crocodile! Can’t you see the difference between a wood stick and a leg?” Then the mouse deer ran to another side of the river and drink some water.

On the following day, the mouse deer was hungry. He wanted to eat some grass on the side of the river so he had to to cross the dangerous river which was full of crocodiles. Again he thought hard and found another smart idea and said loudly “Crocodiles come up!” then some crocodiles rose from the water. They looked happy and saw their sharp teeth and said “Hello, Mouse Deer. Do you come to be my lunch? We are hungry” The mouse deer just smiled and replied. “Sorry, Crocodiles, not today, I come to you to bring an invitation from the king. You are invited to the party. The king ordered me to count all crocodiles in this river so he knew how to prepare enough meal for you.”All the crocodiles felt happy and said “Really…? Tell us what to do,” said a crocodile. “You have to line up from this side of the river to the other side,” said the mouse deer. Not long after that the crocodile got all his friends and family. He ordered to lined up across the river.

The mouse deer then jumped on the Crocodile’s back. “One,” the mouse deer counted. He jumped onto the next crocodile, “Two.” And he jumped again on the next crocodile, “Three.” he kept jumping until he arrived on the other side of the river. “Just enough,” said the mouse deer. “I have counted all of you” He laughed and ran to the field of grass.

  91. Once upon a time, there were two close friends who were walking through the forest together. They knew that anything dangerous can happen any time in the forest. So they promised each other that they would always be together in any case of danger.

Suddenly, they saw a large bear getting closer toward them. One of them climbed a nearby tree at once. But unfortunately the other one did not know how to climb up the tree. So being led by his common sense, he lay down on the ground breathless and pretended to be a dead man.

The bear came near the one who was lying on the ground. It smelt in his ears, and slowly left the place because the bears do not want to touch the dead creatures. After that, the friend on the tree came down and asked his friend that was on the ground, "Friend, what did the bear whisper into your ears?" The other friend replied, "Just now the bear advised me not to believe a false friend."

Moral of the Story- A true friend in need is a friend indeed.

  92. 47 baris Long time ago Banyuwangi was called Blambangan. It was a kingdom under a wise king who had a handsome and smart son. Raden Banterang was his name. He liked hunting very much. He often went to forest around Blambangan to hunt for animals. One day when he was in a forest he saw a deer. He chased it and the deer ran deeper into the forest. His horse was so good and strong that he left his guards behind. Unfortunately he lost the deer. As he took a rest under a big banyan tree suddenly a lovely lady appeared in front of him. Raden Banterang was very surprised to see a beautiful girl alone in the forest. He was suspicious that she was not a human being. So he asked her.

'Excuse me lovely lady, do you live around here?'

'No, I don't. I'm from Klungkung, Bali. My name is Surati. I'm a princess, the daughter of the king of Klungkung. I need your help'

'I will gladly help you, but please tell me what your problem is'

'I'm in danger. There was a rebellion in Klungkung. The rebel killed my father but I could escape. My guards took me here but I lose them. Now I'm alone. I don't know where to go. I have no relative here. Please help me'

'You are coming to the right person. I'm prince Banterang from the kingdom of Blambangan. I will protect you. Please come with me.'

Then Raden Banterang took Surati home. He fell in love with her and then several months later he married her. One day when Surati was in the street he met a man. The man called him.

    'Surati, Surati'

She was surprised to realize that the man was her brother Rupaksa. Rupaksa told her that it was Raden Banterang who killed their father. He came to Blambangan to take revenge and asked surati to join him. Surati was shocked but she refused to join.

'I'm really shocked to hear the news. But I'm not sure. Raden Banterang is now my husband. He's very kind to me. He never hurts me. He's protecting me. As a good wife I will never betray him. It is my duty to serve him.'

    'But he killed our father'.

'It is hard for me to believe it. When I met him he was here, not in Klungkung'

Prabu Tapa Agung had led a kingdom in West Java for a long time. He was getting old and therefore wanted to choose a successor. But unfortunately, he had no son. He thought of choosing one of his daughters, Purbararang and Purbasari. But it wasn’t an easy choice. They were both very pretty and smart. The only difference was their temperament. Purbararang was rude and dishonest, while Purbasari was kind and caring. With those considerations, Prabu Tapa Agung finally chose Purbasari to be his successor.

Purbararang didn’t agree with her father’s decision. “It’s supposed to be me, Father. I’m the eldest daughter!” Purbararang said. Prabu Tapa Agung smiled. “Purbararang, to be a queen takes more than age. There are many other qualities that one must possess,” explained Prabu Tapa Agung wisely. “What does Purbasari have that I don’t?” Purbararang pouted. “You’ll find out when Purbasari has replaced me,” Prabu Tapa Agung answered.

After the discussion, Purbararang went back to her room. “Is there something wrong?” asked Indrajaya. Indrajaya is Purbararang’s future husband. “I’m upset! Father chose Purbasari as his successor and not me! I have to do something!” Purbararang said. Driven mad by her anger, she came to a witch and asked her to send rash all over Purbasari’s body. Before going to bed, Purbasari started to feel itch all over her body. She tried applying powder to her body, but it’s no use. Instead, the itching grew even worse. She didn’t want to scratch it, but she just couldn’t help it. In the next morning, there were scratch mark all over Purbasari’s body. “What happened to you?” asked Purbararang, pretending to be concerned. “I don’t know, sis. Last night, my body suddenly felt very itchy. I scratched and scratched, and this is what happened,” Purbasari answered. Purbararang shook her head. “You must have done something really awful. You’ve been punished by the gods!”

That day, the whole kingdom was scandalized. “What have you done, Purbasari?” demanded Prabu Tapa Agung. Purbasari shook her head. “I didn’t do anything that would upset the gods, Father,” she answered. “Then how can you explain what happened to your body?” Prabu Tapa Agung asked again. “If you don’t confess, I’ll banish you to the woods.” Purbasari took a deep breath. “Like I said before, I didn’t do anything wrong. And I’d rather be thrown into the woods than to confess to a deed I didn’t commit.”

After a short discussion with his advisor, Prabu Tapa Agung ordered Purbasari to be moved to the woods. Purbasari was very sad, but she couldn’t do anything to defy her father’s order. She was accompanied to the woods by a messenger. He built a simple hut for Purbasari. After the messenger left, suddenly a black monkey came to Purbasari’s hut. He carried a bunch of bananas. From behind him, some animals looked on. “Are the bananas for me?’ Purbasari asked. The black monkey nodded, as if he understood what Purbasari said. Purbasari took the bananas with pleasure. She also said thanks. The other animals that were looking on also seemed to smile. “Are you willing to be my friend?” Purbasari asked them. All the animals nodded happily. Although she was living by herself in the woods, Purbasari never lacked of supplies. Everyday, there were always animals bringing her fruits and fish to eat.

After 7 hours walking in the dark, we could reach the top of the mountain. It was at 3 a.m. early in the morning.

We were not alone. There were a lot of people who reached that top before us.

We waited the sun rises by cooking some food and making some hot drink to get back our energy. We sang some songs together, shared stories and got acquainted with people there.

After seeing the sun raised, we had to go back home. Getting down the mountain was not as hard as the climbing process because we only spent a few energy and time even we had to be more careful to do this process.

However, it was great experience i had ever done so far.

Yesterday l was going to the lake. It was the nice time for fishing because I had no work to do.

I wake earlier at the morning then I went to the market place to buy some shrimps which I used for fishing bait. After that, I went to the lake to start fishing.
    Event

At that lake, I looked for the best point to fish. I went to the place under the big tree at the bank of the lake.

I threw my hook as far as I can then I wait for the fish eating my bait. 30 minutes left and finally there was a fish ate my bait. It was the first big enough fish that I got.

I got 10 big fish and 3 small fish at that day. I was so happy.

I would cook that fish at home and then I would call my friends to come to my home then we would have a small party.

But I was not lucky enough because on the way home I saw a beggar. He was an old poor beggar.

I gave all of my fish to him and I wish he would be happy getting that fish. Perhaps he could sell them at the market and get some money to buy some food.

At 9 in the morning, I went to the station. The train would arrive at 10 a.m. It took 30 minutes walking from my home to the station. At that station, I bought the ticket to go to Yogyakarta.
    Event

It took around 5 hour to go to Yogyakarta from Tulungagung by train.

I arrived in Tugu Station Yogyakarta at 3.15 pm. I had no fix idea about the places at which I would visit. So, I was free to do anything in this city.

At first, I went walking around at Malioboro Street. I saw so many people in this street. Perhaps, they did the same thing as I did, just walking and sometimes stopped at some street marchandise sellers a long that road.

At 6 p.m, i was tired and hungry. I was at Alun-Alun Kidul, the south side of Yogyakarta Palace.

I looked around and find Angkringan, at that place I ordered for a glass of ice tea and ate some Sego Kucing with Sate and also Gorengan.

After eating, I began to think of where I would get the cheap hotel to stay for several days in Yogyakarta.

Her home is quite awesome, so far away from the city and close to the vegetables farm area. My grandma and grandpa are farmers.

I spent two days there and I did so many interesting things in the farm, helping my grandpa planted vegetables.
    Event

At the first day, I learned to plant spinach. What I did was moving out the young spinach from the seeding area to the plantation area.

I thought it was easy, but in fact, it was tiring. I had to move those one by one under the sun. I did that for several hours before launch and continued until afternoon.

In the night, i didn’t want anything except sleeping. I was really tired but it was fun.

I couldn’t wake up in the morning until my grandma knocked at my door. He laughed at me because what I did was not hard actually if compared with the real farmer.

Then, before we went to the farm again, my grandma had prepared for breakfast. After eating I follow my grandpa going to the next field.

We would do daily treatment for the 1 month age spinach. We had to give them enough water and checked if there were any caterpillars and grasshoppers.
    Reorientation

At the third day, I had to back home. I was sad to leave my grandma and grandpa. But, that’s fine because the next holiday I would go there and see them again.

Although all of people loved him, he didn’t become arrogant. He was always kind to all of people. He also gave a help when people had an obstacle. He was a very good boy.
Risky and I had a good friendship. I was really glad having friend like him. We came from a different family background. Although he came from a rich family. But he also still wanted me to be his friend. He always helped me when I got an obstacle. For example when I was sad because I got a bad score of English subject, he motivated me to survive and also teach me about the English subject that I had not mastered. We always went out together in the weekend. We usually went to a swimming pool and food court. He really like Indonesian tradisional food like sate and gado-gado. He also always visited my house. Because he really like sate and gado-gado. I asked my mother to cooked that. We ate those food together, we had fun together with my family.

After I got an permission from my parents to go there. I and Risky’s family went to Malaysia by plane. At the plane I and Risky saw the view from the plane windows. Risky and I was very happy because the view was very beautiful.
When Risky, his family and I arrived at Malaysia we got a special response from Risky’s family in sabah. I stayed in his uncle’s home. The atmosphere in sabah wasn’t different from Indonesia, but the taste of tradisional food was very different. I tasted laksa, nasi lemak, and roti canai. Those was very delicious. The next day I was invited to go to twin tower. Over there We toke some photos with the beautiful view of twin tower. After that we went to I city. There were so many play lands over there. The next thing that made me more surprised was they invited me to watch final football match between Indonesian nasional football team against Malaysia nasional football team in bukit jalil stadium. Although the final result Indonesian nasional team was lose, I still happy because I had not imagine if I was not had a friendship with Risky probably i could not go to Malaysia and had a great traveling . My friends and I went to Bandung last month. They were Jezi, Kayla, Gisel, Pevita, and Diandra. We rent a jeep car with a very high cost because we didn’t plan it long before the day. It could be called as unexpected plan. But, it’s okay. We still determined to go by that car.
Our first plan was to visit tourism places in Bandung, such as Kawah Putih and Patenggang. However, Kawah Putih was very crowded. So many people visited it. Then we decided to cancel to visit Kawah Putih. Then, we directly went to Situ Patenggang. When we almost arrived there, we could see a very beautiful lake. We were so excited to see it closer. Whtengen we arrived right at our destination, the situation was quite crowded and full of merchants. We immediately came to lake Situ Patenggang. Wow, it was very beautiful. Unfortunately, there were some trashes around the lake. Whether it was lack of management or the visitor who littered was the cause of that condition. I didn’t know. I only hoped that the management officer of this place and all of the visitors could maintain the cleanness of this beauty of nature which has been created by God.
Besides Situ Patenggang, we also visited Tamansari Zoo. It was a very nice and a pleasure to go there. We could see closely many animals. They were very cute. I also saw some wild animals like python snake, tiger, and lion. I took a picture with a baby of a tiger and lion. They seemed tame and calm. It looked like a big cat. There was only me who was brave to take picture with them. All of my friends who came with me were coward.
Since the road to many other tourism places was so crowded, finally we decided to have culinary tours. It started from Kaliki Sand, Kampung gajah, House of Sausage, The Valley, until the Paris Van Java Mall. All of the foods were delicious. The price was also reasonable. I thought that I wanted to go back there to have culinary tours with my family. The atmosphere of Bandung was so romantic. It was really suitable to go with our sweetheart.
The next agenda after having culinary tours was shopping souvenirs. We bought some special foods from Bandung such as brownies, banana roll, Karuhun chips, etc. We also bought some T-Shirts for our family and neighbour. Shopping souvenirs signed that the holiday was over.
Even though Bandung was always crowded in every holiday, we always made it an alternative place to have holiday together. It was not really far from Tangerang. There were also many delicious foods which I would always miss it. There were still many beautiful tourism places which could relieve our stress after hard working everyday. Moreover, it didn’t cost much money like going to Bali. It was a very nice holiday. It was short but meaningful. I was so happy. So were my friends. Well, that was my story about holiday in Bandung.

One day, Mouse Deer went down to the river to take a drink. But he knew that the crocodile might be waiting underwater to eat him, so he said out loud. “I wonder if the water’s warm. I’ll put in my leg and find out.” Of course Mouse Deer didn’t put in his leg. He picked up a stick instead and put one end into the water. Chomp…! Crocodile grabbed the stick and pulled it underwater. Mouse Deer laughed. “Ha… ha…ha… Stupid crocodile! Cant you tell the difference between a stick and a leg?” Then Mouse Deer ran off to drink somewhere else.
In the next day, Mouse Deer wanted to cross the river. He wanted to eat the fruits on the other side of the river. He saw a floating log in the river. He knew that Crocodile looked like a log when he floated. Mouse Deer didn’t want to be eaten by Crocodile when he crosses the river. He had an idea. He called out loud, “Crocodile!” Crocodile rose from the water, “Hello, Mouse Deer. Have you come to be my lunch?” Mouse Deer smiled. “Sorry, not today, Crocodile. I have orders from the King. He wants to invite all the crocodiles in this river to a party. He wants me to count all the crocodiles so he could prepare enough meal for you.”
“Really…? Tell us what to do,” said Crocodile. “You must line up from this side of the river to the other side,” said Mouse Deer. Crocodile then got all his friends and family. They lined up across the river. Mouse Deer then jumped onto Crocodile’s back. “One,” he counted. He jumped onto the next crocodile, “Two.” And the next crocodile, “Three.” Mouse Deer kept jumping until he arrived on the other side of the river. “How many are there?” asked Crocodile. “Just enough,” said Mouse Deer. He laughed as he ran to the forest.***

One night, on a full moon, the monkey took Purbasari to a valley. There is a pond with hot spring water. The monkey suddenly spoke, “The water of this pond will heal your skin,” he said. Purbasari was surprised, ”You can talk? Who are you?” she asked. “You’ll find out, in time,” the monkey said. Purbasari didn’t want to force the monkey. She then walked to the pond. She bathed there. After a few hours, Purbasari walked out of the pond. She was shocked to see her face reflected on the clear pond water. Her face was beautiful again, with smooth and clean skin. Purbasari observed her entire body. There were no traces of any skin ailments. “I’m cured! I’m cured!” Purbasari shouted in joy. She quickly offered thanks to the gods and also to the monkey.
The news of Purbasari’s condition quickly spread to the kingdom, irritating Purbararang. She then accompanied by Indrajaya go to the woods to see Purbasari. Purbasari asked if she would be allowed to go home. Purbararang said she would let Purbasari return to the palace if Purbasari’s hair were longer than hers. Purbararang then let her hair down. “Fine, so your hair is longer than mine.” Purbararang admitted. “But there is one more condition you must fulfill, do you have a future husband who is handsomer than mine?” said Purbararang as she walked toward Indrajaya. Purbasari felt miserable. She didn’t have a future husband yet. So, without much thought, she pulled the black monkey beside her.

The monkey meditates and suddenly transformed into a very handsome young man, a lot more handsome than Indrajaya. “I’m a prince from a kingdom far away. I was cursed to be a monkey because of a mistake I committed. I could regain my true form only if there’s a girl who would be willing to be my wife,” said the young man.
Finally, Purbararang gave up. She accepted Purbasari as the queen, and also confessed everything she had done. “Please forgive me. Please don’t punish me,” Purbararang said, asking for forgiveness. Instead of being angry, Purbasari smiled. “I forgive you, sis,” she said. Soon after, Purbasari become queen. Beside her was the handsome prince, the former monkey known as Lutung Kasarung.

  111. 41 barisRaden Putra was the king of Jenggala kingdom. He had a beautiful queen and concubine. Unlike the queen, the concubine had bad personalities. She was envious and jealous with the queen, so she planned to make the queen leave the palace. The concubine then asked the royal healer to help her in her plan. One day, the concubine pretended to be ill. Raden Putra called the royal healer to give the concubine treatments. “What is her disease?” Raden Putra asked the royal healer. “I’m very sorry, My Majesty. She is sick because the queen put poison in her meal,” the royal healer lied.
Raden Putra was shock and angry to hear the explanation. He called the queen and asked her if the story was true. Of course the queen denied, but Raden Putra won’t listen. “Please Your Majesty, have mercy. I really didn’t do anything,” cried the queen in her tears. Raden Putra’s anger ended in a decision. The queen should be banished to the woods and terminated. He did not know that the queen was already pregnant. Raden Putra commanded one of his general to do the punishment. The queen was banished to the woods, but the wise general didn’t have the heart to kill her. He built a simple house in the woods for her. On his way back to the palace, he smeared his sword with rabbit blood, so Raden Putra would believe that he had killed the queen.
After the general left, the queen lived by herself in the woods. Several months later, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy. The baby was named Cindelaras. He grew up as a nice, healthy, and handsome boy. One day, while Cindelaras helped her mother to collect some fire woods, an eagle dropped an egg. Cindelaras brought the egg to be brooded by a chicken behind their house. The egg hatched into a chick and then it slowly became a strong rooster. The rooster is no ordinary rooster. The rooster could sing. Every morning, the rooster woke Cindelaras up with its beautiful song, “My master is Cindelaras. His house is in the woods. He’s the son of Raden Putra.” The rooster often sang that song.
Cindelaras always woke up early in the morning and listen happily to his rooster’s song. He didn’t realize the meaning of the song until one day, he started to think. “Who is Raden Putra?” he asked his mother. The queen then told him the whole story. She also told him why they were banned from the kingdom and lived in the woods. Cindelaras was very surprised. He decided to go to the palace to meet the king, his father. Cindelaras asked her mother’s permission to go to the kingdom and to tell the king what really happened. He also brought his rooster that grew bigger and stronger each day.

In a few minutes, his rooster defeated the opponent’s rooster. He was challenged again by other man, and one more time, his rooster won. He won again and again.
The news about Cindelaras’ rooster quickly spread to the whole Jenggala kingdom and made Raden Putra curious. So, he invited Cindelaras to the palace. “What is your name, boy?” Raden Putra asked as Cindelaras arrived in the palace. “My name is Cindelaras, Your Majesty,” Cindelaras answered. He felt both thrilled and happy to see Raden Putra.
Raden Putra challenged Cindelaras with one condition. If Raden Putra’s rooster won, Cindelaras’ head would be cut off. But if Cindelaras’ rooster won, Raden Putra would share half of his wealth. Cindelaras accepted the condition. The competition was held in the front yard of the palace. The two roosters fought bravely. But in just a few minutes, Cindelaras’ rooster won the fight! Raden Putra shook his head and stared at Cindelaras from his seat, “That rooster is no ordinary rooster, and the boy is not an ordinaty boy either. Who is he exactly?” he thought. Raden Putra was about to asked when suddenly Cindelaras’ rooster sang the song, “My master is Cindelaras. His house is in the woods. He’s the son of Raden Putra.”
Raden Putra was surprised. “Is it true?” he asked. “Yes, My Majesty. My name is Cindelaras and my mother was the queen,” said Cindelaras. Raden putra called the general who had banished the queen. The general then confessed that he never killed the queen. Later, the royal healer also admitted his mistake. Raden Putra was so shocked. He immediately went to the woods to pick up the queen. Ever since, Cindelaras and his parents lived happily together. As for the concubine, she was sent to the jail as punishment.

On his way, Cindelaras stopped at a village. There, he met some people who were involved in cockfighting. They challenge him to see how strong his rooster was. “If your rooster wins, you’ll get a reward,” said the man who challenged him. Cindelaras accepted the challenge. In a few minutes, his rooster defeated the opponent’s rooster. He was challenged again by other man, and one more time, his rooster won.

  120. 26 barisHe won again and again.

‘O, you are stupid lazy boy. You are son of a fish!’
Samosir was hurt. He went home right away and as he got home he told his mother about his father’s words. Samosir’s mother was shocked. She was also deeply hurt.

One day the boy thought of a plan that would help him get a little company and have some fun. 3 He ran down toward the valley crying, “Wolf! Wolf!”

The men ran to meet him, and after they found out there was no wolf after all, one man remained to talk with the boy awhile.

The boy enjoyed the company so much that a few days later he tried the same prank again, and again the men ran to help him.

A few days later, a real wolf came from the forest and began to steal the sheep. The startled 6 boy ran toward the valley, and more loudly than ever he cried, “Wolf! Wolf!”

But the men, who had been fooled twice before, thought that the boy was tricking them again. So no one came to help the boy save his sheep.

In ancient times there were four brothers called Ompung Silamponga, Ompung Silitonga, Ompung Silatoa, and Ompung Sintalaga who tried to escape from Tapanuli to the southeast. They crossed the ocean by using rafts. Then, they had been bobbing aimlessly on the sea for a couple of days so that their food supplies dwindled. Once in a while, when they discovered a land, they stopped to look for food and then continued the voyage.

Once, Ompung Silamponga fell ill. His condition was deteriorating day by day. However, he remained determined to continue the journey. Meanwhile, his three brothers were so tired that he decided to stop sailing. Suddenly, a raft appeared while bobbing near their raft. The three siblings who were healthy decided to separate ompung Silamponga. They carried his brother who was seriously ill carefully to their newfound raft and pushed, so that it was drifted away from them. Ompung Silamponga was bobbed alone with his raft. His body became weak. After a long time had been bobbing, his raft then hit a hard object. Then Ompung Silamponga was awakened. He found himself already stranded on a beautiful beach whose waves were not so huge. Somehow he felt that his body became stronger and healthier. He then walked down the beach. He found a stream with clear water around the coast. Then Ompung Silamponga thought to live in that area.

After some time living in that area, Ompung Silamponga got bored. Then, he went to explore the island. Ompung Silamponga explored a dense forest near the island. Finally, he arrived at the top of a hill with beautiful views. Then he could also know that there were people living at the foot of the hill. With a feeling of joy, unconsciously he shouted loudly, “Lappung! Lappung! Lappung!” (In Tapanuli language, lappung means “Wide”).

Shortly after that, Ompung Silamponga went down from the top of the hill and opened a new settlement there. He gave the place a name “Lappung”. In fact, a group of people who lived so left behind stayed also around the place. Ompung Silamponga established good relations with the indigenous population. The longer the area was, it developed more. Ompung Silamponga spent his life there until death.

“Lampung” is recognized to be derived from two things. First, from the words shouted by Ompung Simaponga on the hill when it was first discovered that area. Second, from a part of Ompung Silamponga name.

Camping is a good way of spending a holiday away from home. It is cheap, and it is a lot of fun. You are free to go anywhere you please, and it is a great pleasure to be able to sleep under the stars.
Next week is holiday. The students of VIIA plan to go camping in WIDORO. Now they are discussing their plan.
"Where can we get the tents?" Fitri asked
"Everyone should bring his own bedding, a change of clothing and a set of eating utensils. The bedding should be light and warm and give you enough protection against the damp ground," Ayu explained.
"Besides a change of clothing, I believe you also need a sweater of a jacket. It may be cold at night," Anggraini said.
    "How about food?" Nurul asked.
"It's fun to cook our own food. Why don’t you bring the cooking utensils, girls? I think you should try to prepare simple dishes in one pan. Then we will only need to carry a few utensils."
"All right" Anggraini said "We'll be responsible for the food. Will you take care of the tent, boys?"
    "O.K" the boys said
They all look forward to the holiday

    Discovering The Komodo Lizard
Two fisherman tied their boat up, hurried out of the boat and ran down the streets of their hometown.
"We saw a dragon on Komodo Island," they shouted. "We saw a dragon!"
A man heard their shouts. He was an American named Douglas Burden, Burden was a naturalist. A naturalist is a person who tries to learn as much as he can about things that live. He believed what the two men said but there was only one way to find out. He had to go to Komodo Island himself and brought back on of the dragons for people to see.

So Douglas Burden and some friends sailed half way around the world to the tiny Island off the coast of Indonesia. When they reached the island they were afraid that the traps and cages they had with them would not be strong enough to hold the dragons.
There were dragons on the island. They weren’t the same dragons people see in picture, books, and in children stories, but they looked more like dragons than any other animal Burden had ever seen. They were really large lizard-some of them three meters long and as heavy as two men. Their legs were short and thick and on their feet were sharp claws like knives. Although they did not breathe fire like the dragons in story books, the lizards had yellow forked tongues that moved quickly in and out of their mouth.
It was difficult and dangerous to catch the lizards. Sometimes the lizards attacked the men. Sometimes the men had to kill the lizards to save themselves.
Finally, Burden and his friends caught two live Komodos and put them in cages on their ship. Then they sailed back to America.
When the two dragons were put into the Brooklyn Zoo in New York City, people came from all over America to see them. Burden was pleased that so many people had a chance to see two live dragons.
That was more than 45 year ago. Today there are no more live dragons anywhere in the world except on the tiny Island of Komodo. They still live there.

  137. 23 baris A Trip to Tanjung Setia Beach

Last year, at the end of the year, my wife and I decided to spend our holiday at Tanjung Setia beach, which located around 234 kilometers from Bandarlampung.

We felt tired that day but we felt so happy to visit Borobudur temple which is well-known as one of the greatest legacies Indonesia has ever had. I hope the temple can be loved by all of the visitors and the government.

  139. 23 baris My Vacation with My Beloved People

One day, my sister named Putri said to me that she really wanted to go to the beach. So I promised her that the next week we would go to Mutun beach in Lampung.

  140. 25 baris On February 8th, 2016, I thought this would be a great holiday for me because that was Chinese New Year holiday.
